Either way, it's impressive and a great output matey.

yes indeed m8. its tricky because some say x by 1.3 others say 1.4. coops is 1.355 so thats what iv done mine at. and the answere to what you said about the tip, you are right it makes the car pull stupidly hard towards the end of the rev range :)

Very happy for you mate.

So are your little issues you had sorted now do you feel? Certainly made a lot of changes to the car recently haven't you.

Great example for others to follow Sam.

coops's 304.9 and reaching 225gs is 225 x 1.355 = 304.9 bhp
i will base mine on this for now. this give a total of 306.4 bhp

hmmm.. dont delude yourself fella
it wont make that here, not even close

i know my 3inch tip works well, but its not a miracle device.

divide 0.8 is what equates to my rollers close enough
225g/s divide 0.8 is 281bhp, which if replicated on my dyno in reality would be the highest power figure from k04 achieved here so far.
Free dyno for you to confirm if you like cos i am curious
regards
bill

Figures dont really matter mate, if the car feels great on the road then thats the main thing.

sam how are you getting these logs

with the vagcom software? is it driving along with a laptop and software on or getting the values after you have driven it?

just ordered vagcom or something like it from ebay with the help of coops no nothing about it tbh lol

you notice more noise/surge with the TIP?

great results Sam.:)
Careful of reverse engineering my bhp compared to airmass logs as i normally run an oversized maff tube. Dividing airmass by 0.8 is the norm for a stock screened maff tube which would give you a good honest 280bhp plus which is a superb result for a stock K04, considering most true stage 2 lcr's are lucky to make a real 260 bhp.
keep up the good work.:funk:

well today i have been to badger5 and took up bills offer of a free dyno run.
im so glad i took the offer up, im now the highest k04 turbo on bills dyno :):):)
before i talk figures, id like to add that my turbo was spiking at 1.9bar eek
this results in too much heat and can bring firures down. heres the good news, i have bought a manual boost controller, bill says this will sort my spiking out and hopefully cool things down and produce some higher figures. so on saturday i will be going back up to bills to fit the mbc and hopefully beat my best run from today :)
best run was 284 bhp. bill also said that on the road it could be higher as the cooling is much better and air flow is better. would be interesting to know what i can make on the road.
so cant wait until saturday.
big thanks to bill, great guy, very honest and knows what hes talking about :)

few pics from today

now for the bad news, picked up a oil leak :(

thanks all

 Cracking stuff Sam. Sorry to hear about the leak but at least your motor seems to be running well.

thanks m8, yeah the car seems to be performing very well, must say the turbo and dv with the badger5 tip sounded tho business today while on the dyno :)
i hope the leak isnt to bad. made it home,40miles away with out running out lol

Thats awesome sam, i am very very impressed indeed!!
thank you, as bill says this is real bhp :D
