Well done Sam thats an excellent result.:)
to put it into context my hybrid barely broke the 300bhp barrier on the same dyno so 20 bhp difference is none too shabby for a stock K04 and theres still more to come ( exhaust mani, wmi, intake). It must be well rapid.
The rough calcs were pretty accurate too.

I think I saw max on dyno airflow of 221g/s, which is usually higher on the road
divide 0.8 was ball park pretty close to matching the dyno figures I see.

beat my previous k04 best (which was on one of my remaps  although it was otherwise an S3 with only my 3inch tip as a mod on it, @278bhp, from a whole lot less boost )

Well done Sam.. Your car is a credit to you. Well presented and cared for.
Hope your oil leak is'nt too serious.. (I had to call you to tell you when I noticed the oil on the dyno and floor after you had left.)

thanks willy. yeah im pleased with the results, boost is spiking badly atm, 1.9bar so bill told me to not boot it until the mbc is fitted. but the other night when i did my own logs it was stupidly fast lol.

thanks bill, by the way it was 222gs, every one counts lol i dont know a great deal about maps ect, but i was very impressed with the s3 map and performance on such low boost. so well done to you to.

update on the oil leak. car has been on the ramp ect but the leak is coming from the front on the engine just above the oil filter. just for now the oil has been cleaned up, topped up. i have driven around 12 miles of steady driving and no sign of a leak. this means the car leaks under high load like the runs we did on the dyno on monday night. i asked bill what he thinks it is, hes pretty sure is the oil pressure switch. i hope this is the cause. there was not alot of oil left after my 40mile trip on monday night.
does anyone else have any ideas?

thanks

Nice - glad that was sorted out quickly and simply. You are making such good progress here, shame to see something go a but pear shaped. I still want to steal your paintwork though more than anything else :p

wish i could m8, its just a pita to get there, especially when badger 5 is so close also i like to stay loyal to bill, hes been good to me.
it would be interesting to see what figures i could make there, by the looks of it i would do 300 bhp there as my airflow has been higher than coops.

your car should make good figures next time, saying that yours are not bad, your torgue is very high :)

Yeah its a 2hr drive for me from hampshire, but will no doubt go back now got the bug lol, and just need to see if there is any difference, wasn't to bad for a first run, would like more bhp really but thats how it goes i suppose lol, happy with the torque of course, your car sounds like it will easily get to 300bhp+ on amd rollers worth a drive there for that on a print out hehe :D

Your car sounds like it well on top form plus you have done loads of engine bay work on it love it as always your car is mint!

you looking into new clutch and uprated rods at all? lots of talk about us needing to change these stock items now?

my next purchase end of this month is the liquid gauage then brakes all round

Thanks for your comments, i try to do everything to the highest standards possible. I do have a slight problem were every thing has to be perfect, that shows in my bay lol. My clutch is holding out fine, no signs of it slipping, will only change it when it goes :) i am looking into rods so will get a price from bill, however i have read that the 210s have stronger internals over the 225, how true this is im not sure but you do hear more 225 going bang than 210s.

I thought it was the other way round  Dans is a 210
could be m8, im not 100% sure, i just thought i read it somewhere.

225 are stronger , they have forged pistons , got my self a bam lump now :)
cool

if you want it in red yes

thanks bill, i dont have any spare atm, so i guess i will use what you have instock, then change it for red in a few weeks ect. bill can you quote me a price for uprated rods including fitting ect, wont be ready for a few weeks or so, then i can start saving :)
another thing i was going to ask you, seeing as my car can make good power i cant see me getting much more bhp from a 3" down pipe so should i go down the water meth route instead and maintain what im already making? or get both lol
im hoping to get the mbc mounted in place tomorrow night also :)

update

went to badger 5 this weekend to set up my mbc and turn my boost levels down. last week i made a fantastic result on bills dyno 285bhp but my car was running silly amounts of boost, was spiking at 1.9 - 2bar just over 3000rpm. not good for the rods. so i took bills advice and we fitted a mbc.
we have turned the boost right down, infact i think its very low for a stage 2 map, 1.4 bar (20 psi). but now the car holds this boost much better than it did before.
i made around 280 bhp but with 0.6 bar of pressure less. to be honest i think the car is faster and more consistant than it was before, the mbc is keeping things cooler and making my engine safer. so its a around good result. im happy, bills happy and my car seems happy.
id also like to add that bill provided a great service and i left a very happy customer :)
few pics of the mbc fitted

remember guys i can turn up the mbc to release the extra horses but im not going to take the risk :p
next on the list is
water meth kit
downpipe to stop the EGT's getting too hot
uprated rods

next time you are logging, let me know what airflows you see to compare with what I logged on the dyno saturday.
