You aren't running lean @ 0.75. Personally i think your now running too rich remember 0.85 is best safe power. But the map is requesting a very rich mix.... i hope someone can explain why......Kev:shrug:

i havent logged EGTs as yet but i can see what you are saying. it didnt spring to mind yesterday but it makes perfect sense. ill have a look next time im logging, i've reduced it to T6 B6 for now so im sure it will be fine.

Ive havent attempted to get the WMI up and running since the build, i need to wire in the sensor and i also need to run a feed from the washer bottle so i can fill it up from there (yes i know it would be easier to just use the washer but i like my tank :))

I'd say running your wmi might just confuse things until you're happy everything else is set up right. :)

John (Wilko), will the wideband lambda read less than 0.75?

What boost are you running?

1.4bar in the last log.

I did want it perfect before adding anything to the pot... i didnt think about that as a reason for the Lambda factor Dave, i bet youre correct.

EDIT: these injectors have doubled my MPG (26 now)... YAY :)

It seems so obvious now! When i was looking at the logs i was thinking to myself, it never holds a stable figure when logging lambda.

Aaron you coming to the Holts Friday night for pizza and film?

I got the alli dims,

146 x 164 x 3 mm x 4
146 x 123 x 3 mm x 2
170 x 123 x 3 mm x 1

Let me know when's good, its allot of alli

yep. 0.75 is the min, but hey thats 10.9:1 and why would you ever want to run that rich.
Lowering boost to gain back some timing advance will knock egts down. See what happens.

It's timing advance you are chasing, as more of the burn is complete before the exhaust valve opens, hence lower egts and more power taken from the charge. WMI will help no end by gaining some timing.

You have a great way of explaining things so everyone can understand what you are talking about. I'm very grateful for all the help everyone gives on here, can you imagine where most of us would be without the info on this forum...

I spend most of my working life trying to get my engineers to understand what we ( our business) does, technicaly. They all complain and say their brains don't run at 100 mph like mine. I always thought I just wasn't explaining things right, so that's great to hear.

It also means that maybe I'm employing idiots, which is maybe less good.

At the risk of inflating your ego............. :D

Nothing wrong with your explanations John - verbally better than written if anything. They're not listening to you properly........

We all have to be thankful of our mrs, right?

If it wasn't for mine I'd have a tiny house and a gold plated engine.. It's good to be grounded by the odd "How much!" comment :)

Sound like an egomaniac don't I. It's weird, but things I'm interested in just seem so obvious to me. The mrs is always keeping me in check though, thankfully.
I've always found it very easy to order things in my mind and put them forward in an easy way to understand without being patronising. But then like you I deal with Engineers, labourers, female engineers, General managers etc etc

Yup Mrs helps, I'm a bit too logical or straight forward in how I'm telling people, my Mrs said this can be seen as aggressive or forceful.
It's great to see some things through wimmens eyes, the world looks a very different place, lol
