OBD II Wireless Devices and Apps

Well I got most of it running. boost and all other sensors seem to be correct. Getting a max of 14psi boost just need to do some fine tuning. Power and torque seem like possible figures so far but need some exact settings first. Getting around 170bhp and 175ib/ft have not been able to give it a full power run but this I's close so far. Fuel economy ect seem pretty close but further testing will tell. So far so good but it's not plug and play but once it's set right it will be a good bit of kit.

Sounds like it does do the job.
Tested any diagnostics yet? Code reading.
Granted best way it to have a fault code :)

So...any recommended eBay item IDs?

My boost issue has settled down now. I must have a mechanical issue because if I floor it the boost peaks at 32psi and then tapers down to the 22psi. Mine is stage 2 remapped. Not 100% what the correct psi should be. I think I have a shite map on it anyway with the lumpy running at times.

The app does require some vehicle specific weights and measurements etc

My fault reader is not so good. I had a abs sensor fault that the app did not pick up but vagcom did.

It's still worth having Vagcom for diagnostics but the app I's usefull for monitoring your daily driving and also good for gauges. Getting the required details for the car I's the tricky part. Weight coefficient aerodynamics etc. But once it's all done it's pretty good.

What we need to do I's make a thread with all the required fields. Such as gear ratios and drag coefficients and frontal areas etc. Im not 100% sure I got all mine correct yet.
I got weight as 1247kg plus weight for driver and luggage. Drag I's 0.320 and I don't have a clue about frontal area. Tyre rolling resistance I have 0.013 as for maf,map and lambda I have used sae.maf etc. Sae for all fields. I can not confirm any of these are the correct values or settings but so far it seems pretty close. I just need gear ratios and a few other bits to make it more accurate.

Thanks for the info. I was scouting the net this morning for the technical data but some stuff was missing. I'm getting good results now ( I hope ) just hope it's as accurate as it can be within some limits. Basically I got a auq 180bhp engine with a cold air intake and a 3" dp with Decat and non res centre with non restrictive backbox on standard map. And my results so far within reasonable driving with the odd chance to open it up but not fully I have logged average results. Once it's fine tuned I'll post some log results. My mad intake I's 142g/s which works out 177bhp and Dashcommand has given various results from 130-173bhp so it's not far off.

They work for me (paid version).

You have to set a profile up for your car, it need to know the weight etc.

It then uses things like the accelerometer to calculate the torque and bhp.

Did you have any problems with the paid version?

I got an ELM327 bluetooth adapter that worked with the free version (still does) and decided to upgrade to the paid version of Torque, but it doesn't seem to like connecting - it just scans and can't find the adapter far too often :(

No problems here.

I'm running it on a Nexus S with ics 4.04, what are you running it on?

Restarting the phone helped... will see if the problem reappears.

The phone is an HTC Sensation XE, ICS 4.0.3.

what are you guys getting for max boost? mine sometimes hits 26 psi? lol

Well today I have managed to get all settings as accurate as I can. ( even had car weighed lol ) so here are some basic logs from my stock mapped lc with only filter and exhaust mods.

If results are close to what they should be then I'm happy.

Oh and I can confirm that a cold sir intake I's much better than a box with panel filter and just a pod filter as my intake temp when driving didn't go above 19oC but when I stopped at the end the idle temp crept upto 30 odd. With my airbox and kn panel filter I was only getting 141g/s and intake temps where I'n the 20s average. Worse when idle. And pod filter was even worse but it was not shielded. With my cold air intake I'm pulling 145g/s.
