Professional tints can be expensive, but mine were on the car when i got it. i dont mind them during the day but at night they are a complete b***h, they are dark charcoal not sure wat that is on %'age tho.
I kno sum of you knew that i needed a new light for the rear, that was because i reversed into a lorry, tints + no street lamps = no vision, thats why i hate them!! still not been repaired fully either!!
cheers for the info on the install, will take a look over the weekend!

adamdenne: head out of window helps when reversing ;) (always done this way even before tints)

Ok, i really cant be bothered to do all that pokin about with the stereo, so i may think of puttin another head unit in. does anyone know if the standard ISO plug will go straight into an aftermarket headunit?

Yeh some call ours a mk2 facelift, but generally its a 'mk3'. Tell us a bit about yourself then, us non cupra owners like to stick together as the cupra boys bully us haha:cartman:

didn't know tints made windows darker from the inside too, not good to have such reduced visibility i guess, as u found out to your cost!

yeah it does slightly! not too bad tho. put put window half down and you can see the difference

just to give an idea of how tint "work"

the reason you usually can't see inside a car is because there is no light source within the vehicle. And you can see out because of the light outside ;) However, because it's a "tint", looking through class from inside the car to the outside, is obviously gonna be a shade darker (picture wearing sunglasses. no-one can see your eyes, but you can see them)

saying that, you should try driving with window tints whilst wearing sunglasses................ in the dark :cartman:

Thats extreme mat!!! its bad enough driving with sunglasses in the dark. let alone with tints.

Does anybody know how to extend the iso plug to fit one under the steering wheel as have been quoted 80 quid!!! to do this and would like to know how easy to do it is?

I've just sent my climate control unit and the face off to have it modified. This will enable the use of an aftermarket stereo.. will post pics up of the final product once ive received. Heres a picture of what it should look like..
