Hey All

Would really appreciate some advice please.
Got a 2015 Leon Cupra 265 and had it for 6 years and shes been good as gold.
Recently I got an amber engine warning symbol and so plugged in an OBD2 Reader and got the code "P2014 - Intake manifold runner position sensor / switch circuit band 1A"
No symptoms of a problem and car drives normally apart from slightly worse fuel economy so I reset it and it was fine for a day then came back.
Have tried google but I get conflicting information as to how to try fixing it.Phoned my mechanic and he said "New inlet manifold" which is in excess of 700 quid.
Now I did read that it COULD be a sensor or solenoid failure or even a corroded connection however I do not know what to check or replace for a start. Can someone point me to a picture of where the problem could be,what it could be and what I need to buy to try to fix.
Thanks in advance

Take it to a competent repair garage with good level diagnostic equipment so the fault code can be read properly and live data checked before pointing the parts cannon at it.

Any guesses will be just that, guesses. The fact that you approached a professional and then decided to get a second opinion from random strangers on a forum isn't a great pathway to a repair. With that being said, I have nothing further of value to add to this thread so up to you to take my advice, or don't. But parts cannon is the most expensive way to repair anything.

06K907386D Swing angle sensor for 1.8 & 2.0 Petrol eng.+ CJSA, CJXA, CJXB, CJXE, CJXH.
A genuine one should be around £80.
As above - your choice to play parts roulette - however that fault code does seem common on other VAG forums for this sensor.
I would check it is actually accessible/removable before shelling out for a new one.

Really appreciate your input thanks.Guess I should have mentioned that I am thinking about getting rid so don't really want to spend out £££ if I can help.I do hear that the sensor connection can corrode and a removal and clean costs nothing but I don't know exactly which sensor the Intake manifold runner position sensor is or its location Can someone tell me please?
Thank you

Google the part number I gave you!
You'll find photos of what it looks like - and exploded diagrams of where it fits in the inlet manifold.
