Performed the infamous intake modification. As the Do88 intake will come eventually, it does not have the highest prio. This becomes very easy with a dremel with the tungsten carbide attachments

Due to the bad weather, I havent been able to floor it. Will probably make some power as it allows for a directer path to the intake

I almost bought these air deflectors from HG Motorsport for almost 90 euros, but decided to fabricate something myself with a sheet of aluminium I had lying around.

I am not worried for the cooling as there is obstruction to the coolerpack already even without the deflectors.

Mocking up was done with cardboard. The front bumper is way different compared to the VW Golf MK7, so I dont think the HG diverters would not have worked anyway.

Adjusted the comfort blinking from 3 to 4 blinks as this suits my driving style better

Even though I will do carbon cleaning myself somewhere beginning this year. I bought some Liqui Moly cleaner to hopefully help even a little bit with carbon buildup

Decided to not take any chances with the winter just having started in the Netherlands, and invested in a new Exide AGM 72Ah battery. When I removed the Banner EFB battery, I noticed the markings under the negative pole "2215".

And with Banner batteries, this relates to production date: "week number" - "year", in other words week 22 2015 Even though the battery was working "ok", I had no idea about the age of the battery.

Result: startup is faster and feels more fluent, as it should be

AGM battery needs to be coded to Fleece and not Binary - AGM. Made that mistake myself

Serial number is not important, so let your imagination run wild

Yeah, my previous battery was over 10 years old Varta and it was still running pretty nice even in harder winter. I sold it to my mate, he put it in his seasonal car and I think he runs it till this day haha. I recommend you to always plug ur battery to charger when voltage goes under 12.5V. It can really prolong it's life.

Took a little longer to paint them with the lower temperatures in the garage, but the homemade air deflectors are black now

Replaced the almost rectangle exhaust tips with big oval tips, which looks way better
