Bill, how much work do you reckon it will be to get these to fit my Ibiza?

It is currently using 288MM brakes, which I assume are the same as the MK4 Golf setup.

I won't be going for these yet, I have a long way to go before I can afford these, but I'm planning for the future (the TT 6 spokes are sorted, the TT Competitions are already here :))

Cheers mate!

The 288mm you have aren't made by ATE so I'm not sure how much would have to be adapted. If you where running the ATE's (like most Mk4 golfs) you'd have no problem getting Bill's kit on (would just need the bigger caliper carriers from the TT).

I found some PDF's at Stoptech which lets you make a template to try out clearance on your wheels for big brakes (don't know if they're any use for Brembos):

Here's how to use them:

Thanks for the info Paulo! It looks like I'll be going for another kit then for the time being!

The Brembo Gran Turismo JR 323mm kit seems to fit the 17" LCR wheels, which were the standard wheels in Finland if your LCR came with the smaller non-brembo 312mm brakes.

Here's a better picture of this miracle, with a "lovely" winter tire :)

OZ Chrono EVO 18"x8" ET35 won't clear the Brembo GT JR kit. Needs 3mm-5mm spacers. The spokes are so flat from the inside, that the caliber is just barely touching the spokes :(

Got myself a set of TT 6-spokes, just handed them in for refurbishing, getting them done in a sort of titanium anthracite finish - should look ace!

Gonna get the Brembos fitted same time as my K04 - think I'm going to need the Brembos really!

Not yet mate, give me a chance:D have now got the exhaust from my mate in Jersey so that and wheels are priority.I want to see how the exhaust works out, maybe a frontpipe and cat as discussed elsewhere and then brakes.Probably won't do box much before July, due to cashflow unless theres lots of overtime ,which there might be;) so might be sooner. So much for my "sensible road car" spent £2200 already:yikes:don't tell my other half! Andy.PS Bill theres a A3quattro for sale on audi-sport.net for £8995 FANCY SOME GRIP MATE

Don't sell the golf as is ,you would have to start all over again, wouldn't it be better to buy cheap A3Q and swap everything that can possibly be swapped over.Just sell golf standard, you will only need a suspension kit and you can fit huge fmic then.Sorted.  Andy
