Yea.... 6pot and twin turbo's... now there's a thought.

IHI'd :D LOL dreaming again...

A very heavy car tho... 1700Kg are'nt they?

Chipped to ~330bhp for example... 1700Kg (guess) equates to 194bhp/tonne - seems quite low but this is just numbers I know. Need to test drive one. :)

Beezer is 322bhp/tonne (1119Kg)
Golfy is (approx) 300bhp/tonne (guessing Golf is 1300Kg?)

Would need 547bhp in an S4 to make it shift similar power to weight... (if my maths has'nt failed me)

I need to get a life!
HELP!
Midlife Crisis...
Cars!!! What to do????

Think they're closer to 1600kg with 1/2 tank of fuel & driver or whatever the current measurement standard is.

I know they make 400bhp with K04 upgrade, as per RS4 but without the other RS4 engine work.

Try RS246.com for more.

Trouble with S4's though according to various forums ,the engine is the weak link, lots of cars having major things going wrong, big bucks.Forums don't reccommend buying one without extra audi warranty which is £700 a year i think plus an intial inspection fee.As Bill knows i have always wanted a S4 avant ,so have looked into it in detail.Would worry that if fragile standard, what would serious mods do to reliability.Still want one though ,maybe later when the house is finished.:wink2:  Andy.

Now there's a question...
I would be looking for no less than £12K.

To build this spec car again would cost quite a lot more..

forgot to mention it also has a new Audi TT 6spd g'box, Quaife ATB diff, ARP fasteners.

My biggest question is (IF) I sell it...
It won't be gifted away tho... as it owes me too much.
Unique car... with superb performance. Watch out for The Golf magazine article due in Aprils (May) edition. "3 of the best" feature.

If I can' tget the right money to allow a.n.other car of choice I'll keep it...

I'll post the Golf details in the 4-sale section...
Not the right section for this thread... (sorry chaps)

bill....i have a question for you because you seem to know a lot about the brembo upgrade...

here in belgium i think i am the only one who want to upgrade his brakes on the fr and i have no info about this...
i have ordered at a seat dealer the brembo calipers, discs ,the brackets(i think this is the right word for these pieces)and brake hoses of the leon cupra r.. (price was i think 1600euro)
now heres my problem...i drive a 2005 fr tdi..and by the looks of this topic i am beginning to be affraid that my brakes that i ordered are not going to fit on my leon....
wheel clearance should be ok becouse i drive 19 inch wheels but i am affraid that the brackets of the cupra r wont fit on my fr tdi....

can you put me out of my misery and tell me iff this will fit or not and what i have to do......

thanx in advance and sorry fot my bad english

Not Bill but...

They will fit. The 312mm from the 1.8T and the 288mm from the PD150 are basically the same. The caliper is the same just different disc and brackets.
The LCR brembo brackets are a direct replacement, so absolutely no problem.
Pesonally I would ditch the stock rubber brake lines and pic up a really nice set of stainless steel ones from Bill.;)
