Less resistance can only mean better performance in this case :).
I'm struggling to find the o-rings for the turbo outlet pipe though... Can anyone help??

Did you ever sort out the O-Rings for this? Are they the green rubber ones? Just want to make sure I have all the parts I need before I do these pipes!

Yeah mate

The O-Rings are:
3C0 145 117 (small)
3C0 145 117-F (large)

You need x2 small ones for turbo outlet pipe and all other intercooler pipe seals are the large ones.

I got them from a seat parts dealer.
Hope you appreciate this as it took me ages to find the parts numbers haha :D
Even parts dealer didn't know at first

Thanks for that! Found a full set on ebay, bloody pricey though!

They are stupidly expensive for small bits of rubber! Liking the Lego caps!
Another question, where did you get the red vac hoses from and what size are they? One of mine is nearly split (posted in mk4 section about it) and needs replacing. I've seen awesome gti do some forge 4mm ones, are they the ones you got?

Cheers, probs won't last long before the kids pinch them anyway lol.
I just got mine off ebay for about £6 I think... You want 4mm ID and a 3m length should be just enough

Yeh I had the genuine Seat valve caps on my old Ibiza and they got nicked so just leave the standard ones on now!
Thanks for that, will sort some hose out.

Had a great day at the SCN Awesome GTI Rolling Road Day yesterday.
Some great looking and quick cars turned up.

The trusty tdi pulled 176bhp and 286lb/ft on stock map :)
Got some spacers to fit when I have an hour.
Mapping should be next - graph below

Good results :) That torque curve looks slightly suspect though ;)

Think you could be right with sticky vanes and the issues you explained on the day. Looks like they stick slightly at 2k and then later on again at 3-3.75k.

Torque should be plentiful at 2k and slowly tails off.

Yep I agree mate and awesome's technicians also said the same, think I should have taken it for a good blast around west Pennines before the day!
May have the turbo cleaned, but other than that quite happy considering I have the minor issue :)

Thanks mj, was secretly hoping for these figures, would have been a tad disappointed if they were lower than 170 and 250lbft, so considering nearly 180bhp and 290lbft with sticky veins I'm over the moon lol

Do you think the boost pipe and turbo pipe upgrade helped you get better figures? You also have decat don't you? That is a big tasty torque figure, you can see why, even at standard maps, the clutch slips on these.
Did you know you had sticky vanes before this? What does it feel like? My car still has an intermittent hesitation around 2k rpm where it feels like it is missing, do you ever get that?

Not sure tbh mate, would have been good to see what figures I had before changing anything at all lol but yeah I definately notice it pulled longer when I put them on. Yes mine is decat too.
Badger pulled 410lbft on a standard clutch so who knows with these clutches lol (granted it's a nearly new clutch)
Yeah I knew about the sticky vanes prior to the day as the car has gone in to limp mode a few times in the past but a quick blast usually sorts it out temporarily. I
It doesn't really hesitate, it just pulls, then feels constant around the dip on the graph, then pulls a bit more around 4k rpm.

I think my hesitation is either MAF or EGR, doesn't sound like yours! If you take your turbo off to clean make sure you get some pics as I wouldn't mind knowing how you do it!

Rear spacers are on...
Not too sure on them though, maybe when I source some front ones they will look right.
They make the already big enough arch gap look huge.

Guessing they are 20mm? They're looking better ;)

You should feel a slight improvement when turning into corners with the wider rear track.

15mm Badger - well I'm a bit confused about that at the moment, they fell like they dip the nose in just too soon and it understeers a touch on tighter bends. This could be in my head though considering I've only just out them on lol.
I don't know wether to space the fronts out 10mm or 5mm. Not sure if I need extender bolts or can get away with standard bolts for 5mm.
Defo need the RARB now.
Hoping to have it mapped next month. Was hoping this month but don't think funds will allow... Let's see how my MOT goes on Monday... I don't have a ghost cat like you so it could be fun with the new regs...

I'm not too sure how much you'll be able to get away with on the front and you'll start getting issues with scrubbing. I know a few people on here are running 5mm fine.

You'll get used to the increased turn in and a RARB will make things loads better :)

Let us know how you get on with the de-cat, you might be ok! Fingers crossed for you.
