Few more things came this week. Because of the fibre glass bonnet will need to be completely removed the window washers can't be fitted, searching on eBay I came across some universal aero wipers with built in washer jets.

And as I'm relocating the battery & fitting the smaller battery, I have decided to get a heavier duty cable. At the moment I'm using 4 AWG, I've now ordered some 0 AWG cable

Since I have a spare battery winch from my off roading days I'm going to bolt the winch to the floor in my garage so I can pull the car up on to the ramps so its no need for me to start the engine. Hopefully do that this weekend and I can crack on with the jobs I want doing.

I posted a photo of my ramps before but now I have got a extended hose so I can use all four ramps.

Tried them out today on the Passat, rather this fall off if I f**k up than the Ibiza lol.

Using just one set

And using all four

Love them, get so much height on the car. For jobs underneath the engine, exhaust etc.... Defiantly safest way on working under the car apart from 2 & 4 poster ramps of course!!!

It's also nice when I need to work on suspension components I can actually use the highest position on the axle stands!!

Going to bolt my electric winch to the floor of my garage tomorrow so I can winch the Ibiza onto the ramps instead of driving it on. Means I will have to start it up & leave the engine warm up plus cold my clutch is either on or off so will be a nightmare getting on the ramps.

I had to modify the stopper up front but the bloke I purchased them from sorted that for me.

And I had to make a extension ramp to get the Ibiza on the front ramps due to the splitter

Found them on eBay, bloke from Newport selling them so just 20mins down the motorway for me

Since I'm waiting on my washer hoses, that I need to sort before taking the car up to Old School Engineering (OSE). I've run in the new battery wire.

Did have a 4 AWG cable, now I've fitted 0 AWG cable, the photo shows them side by side

Hopefully the thicker, shorter cable will help it start a bit better.

To save driving my car up onto the ramps, I decided to bolt the winch from my off roading days to the floor.

Seen better days, it's slow winching but a bit of lube and its doing the job.... Better than being forgotten about & sitting on the shelf.

Does what it's meant to do

Can't get it into the body shop until mid January so going to fit my rear beam bushes & chase up a stiff front lower arm bush, if anyone knows of any!?

And going to purchase the Powerflex Audi TT race use rear lower arm bush.

Ooh, what a good idea, i wish i'd thought of that! I havn't checked that they actually fit yet. There may be subframe differences.

I do know of stiff front bushes, but as your so good at the acknowlegements, i'll keep it to myself.

Rob we all know you do it first, you have photos of it!

If they don't, I will fit R32 one... Oh wait that's the same bush & its the same as the Beetle. Oh and just in case you throw your toys about I also had the rear beam bushes (VW Motorsport) off the amazing RobT so all you people know!

I had a Toad Ai606 alarm that I had fitted about 8 years ago after the car was broken into around this time of year !

But since I've been doing track days I found a problem with it. When I start the engine the hi jack feature kicks in & locks the doors automatically, fine when you driving around town but out on track its the last thing you want!!

So I have had enough and ripped it out this afternoon!!

Once it was out I had to make sure the engine still starts lol.... Noticed the engine turns over much better without the alarm!

the cars coming along a treat now mate easilly the best seat of all on here,

few questions:
just sourced myself some carbon door cards exactly the same as yours for a mark 2 ibiza only the fronts though, can you run keep fit windows with them? or does the metal that holds the winder/motor in need trimming away as im toying with running windy windows as i dont really want to use the perspex windows with sliders due to using the car on the road in the summer months.

also did you have rear door cards made by perfomance trim or diy? also the same question on the inner boot lid cover?

sorry for the questions its only you i have seen running the full door card set :)
