I will soon be able to fit these not been able to even thou had the bits for ages as waiting on getting new wing to replace my rusty one. Now Seat have agreed to pay for new wing can fit this afterwards!

What are the lengths of these struts open and closed? I'm after a set of polished ones. Seen some on eBay but they're all car specific so gonna look for a set the right length 
I'm pretty sure that all of the info should be in the first couple of posts on here - and failing that a quick visit to struts-direct with the part numbers should give you all you need to know. Part number is in a photo on post #18 (I think)
yer i saw that drawing just when i tried to save it so i can work of it, it would let me do so
Right click > save as.....
still not done this as they messed up my bodywork and car is rusting on other wing so not wanting to work on the car at the moment as fed up with it.
Damo, ive just flicked throught the thread again and noticed that on one of your bracket there is a hole in the middle, what is that for? and also where abouts would i need to place that and how big would i need to make it??

that extra hole goes on the right handside same side the battery is on and its to hold the screenwash pipe if i remember right.

Pabs, reference first post, which number locktite did you use to secure the bolts/screws in place?

Edit: Also what are the thread depths on the M8 bolts (for when I tap the bracket)?

Hi mate,
I didn't use any locktite on the car itself - only used it on the ball-end that sits in the bracket themselves. Just standard locktite from what I remember, nothing special.
As for thread depths, I can't remember I'm afraid. I thought I had put all useful info in the first posts, so if it's not there, then I probably don't know
