Not updated this for a couple days.. Had a busy day on Saturday. Removed a load of bits I didn't want anymore - SAI including pump, complete AC including compressor & condenser, oil breather & PCV, charcoal canister & pipes... I then installed the front mount using only 3 pieces of straight pipe to minimise the joins. I also installed an oil catch tank. Pictures as always below..

Did you have to trim bumper or did you move rad back

Removed the AC rad and mounted the IC back as far as I could but had to trim the bumper a little

If you move the rad back you can get the intercooler behind the crash bar. Even a 3inch think version

Nice one Chambers.. I was going to make some brackets up but didn't have any metal in the garage to do it with and was limited on pipe angels & got carried away.

Been enjoying driving it for a day or two since removing bits and fitting the new bits until last night when I parked on my drive and 5 mins later there was a nice large puddle of coolant on the floor!!!!

It's coming from inside the cam belt cover so I'm assuming the water pump has given up! Ordered a new pump & cam belt kit today from TPS, great deal for £106 Will get that fitted over the weekend and get it back on the road again!

So..
Not sure if this is good or bad news!! I sold the Cupra!!!! Only sold as want to take a different direction... Diesel power!

Here's some pics of the Cupra on the day I sold it & the stage it was at

Pretty gutted I sold it if I'm honest.. Although I was thinking back to what my favourite car has been out of the 20+ I've owned & my old PD130 tuned to 210bhp with a silly amount of torque has to be it in terms of all round use ability, cost, space, fun & speed.

So, I got myself a totally standard tdi sport pd130 today. Extensive full service history, stamps up to current mileage, 1 previous owner from new, full mot & tax very clean interior & exterior all for the sum of £1200!

Very happy with that, a lot cheaper than what I sold my Cupra for!
