Sorry I should have elaborated if you already have a K04 or hybrid (Like Robdon) it's not worth the money for the small gain over the k04. As it only flow slightly more! My car holds 1.1/1.2 bar at 7k so not that much better IMO.

true but what u need to consider is how long does each turbo hold onto that power level for.... i.e. the k04 may only hold 290bhp for 1.5k rpm but the garret may hold it for 3k rpm Im NOT Saying this is the case but an example.... peak numbers are not everything its in the delivery where it matters

True enough, but from the plots i've seen on the US sites looks quite slow to spool! Would be nice to see some of cupra_matt and Robdon's plots

Was hearing about this from guy with grey corsa turbo.
Is am04 turbo water cooled?

yes the AM04 uses all standard lines for oil and water.

You are right, it is quite slow to spool. Nothing much happens below 3000rpm,Starts building from 3000rpm and has you pinned in your seat from 3500rpm.

Its a really nice smooth power delivery. What is supprising is 1st gear is ridiculous as expected, but as soon as you pop it in to 2nd it just grips and goes with no fuss or spinning. Quite amazing for a front wheel drive car.
Obviously coming out of corners it spins up and the weather is baking at the moment so the tarmac and tyres are grippy, iam sure in the wet it will be totally different.

I will try and get power graph on here but my scanner doesn't work.

I also removed N249 yesterday, didn't extend any wires so N112 is sitting on top of brake fluid bottle and N249 is still plugged in on other side of boost pipe.

no as far as im aware matts using the standard ibizas AYP ecu which'll mean it can be mapped for the turbo comfortably but extra features such as adjustable boost for each gear, lauch control etc is only available with advanced aftermarket ecus

Yeah its the standard ECU with a new chip inside it, (dont ask me what) then mapped to suit car.

Yeah apexi is good for gear judge etc, different levels of boost on channel A & B.
and alot more accurate.

There is reasonable amount of room, but when speaking to Jim @ Star he said the GTRS is a nightmare to fit. If you want to put the large intake on it for over 310BHP then it fowls on the gearbox and the selector cables.

Mine is a very very tight fit around the selector cables.
