vvt makes no difference to bhp matt, get her onto the rollers and get a ball park figure, will keep us prospective buyers happy!

I thought VVT was there to save fuel?

I understood there was no performance gain from it

Is robdon's on & working? what BHP has he got with his extras?

cheers.

Robdons is 280 BHP and 310 ish IB/FT IIRC

Mine pulled 284 BHP & 296 IB/FT on rollers today with a ambient temp of mid 20's, was warm.

APR Stage 3+ kit mapped for the VVT engine produces 13 more bhp and 18ft-lb
So VVT must make a difference no?

Interesting figures on Rob's car, I thought he was running closer to 300 on his previous turbo?

or are these figure without NOS & high octane fuel?

What boost is it runnin on matt?

Robdons figures are without Nos iirc.

Still think this is a more vaible option to the GTRS, basically using the standard components to the max.

Jim prefer's GT2X to GTRS, he says its a night mare to fit. And with the intake restrictor on he could could only get 315BHP, and with the large intake pipe it is much bigger but struggles to clear the bell housing, and gear selector cables.

My mate was with me yesterday and was enquiring about GTRS for his corrado, but Jim didn't really wanted to sell it to him, he says GT2X is a better turbo.

Mine is running 1.3 BAR which it holds to the redline no bother.

I highly recommend this kit, its very very good.

Sorry I should have elaborated if you already have a K04 or hybrid (Like Robdon) it's not worth the money for the small gain over the k04. As it only flow slightly more! My car holds 1.1/1.2 bar at 7k so not that much better IMO.
