Hi all,
Can someone explain preload whe it comees to an actuator. I have fitted a Forge Actuator to a 225 Cupra R today and have adjusted the nut on the arm currently to 7 threads (the arm is shorter than the OEM)
Is it running ok, but when i first put it n I don't think i understand what preload is as was getting lots of chatter.
I assumed 2mm preloads meant tightening the nut to apply (2mm along the rod) pressure on the wastegate after it was closed and that this was preload!
Like i said after lots of chatter I have brought the nut back and this has corrected the issue. also my boost gauge was readin 0 with no - vacumn pressure again that has been corrected now with boost showing however this is slightly less with OEM on i would boost to about 0.8 max now 0.6. Can soneone who knows tell me do I need to adjust the nut somemore or do up somewhat?
Does anyone else has a Forge Actuator and what's your setup is, i.e. amount of threads?
Thanks very much
