Boost is 21psi and holding 13.5-14 psi at the red line .
After 6 back to back runs induction was at worst 45 degrees ( No ice cubes used :D )so CC is doing its job .
5th was used to load it more and mike said higher figures would be seen using 4th gear run but by how much i dunno.

Before fitting, my EO5 was identical to my kkko3 in everyway except the size and blade profile of the impellar, and also wastegate actuator .
Eurocode said they use either kkko3s or kkko3 depending on what they get hold of at the time .
kkko3 is machined to size of kkk03s to suit impellar size.

Mike said E05 is basically the same as the kkko3s power wise ,only a few extra horses would be seen on eo5.
As seems to be the case:confused:
Just dont get it as to how the golf ( Mike ttish ) is getting so much more out of his EO5

E05 is not unfortunatly value £ to bhp. I think the only kit other than jabbas ihi would be Atp stage2 Gt28r kit. £1700 fitted then let jabba remap it, this kit should have very little trouble making 260-280bhp. I dont know if jabba are offering stage 1 anymore or the cost of stage 2/3 or when it will be available.

Not good to hear! Sorry to hear it and feel for you guys after forking out the £££ to try it. Just dont understand why the Golf is so good!

As far as E05 vs K03s, i made the right choice for £150 then :D Dont want to rub it in tho :( so ill stay quiet!

Good on ya both for giving it a go tho!

FFS, they're spot on for the boost he's running at that RPM. The idea that the car is bad if it's 240bhp and good if it's 250bhp is utter sh*t. The question should be : "Is the car as fast as I want it to be?", not "Does it give me a certain number on a bit of paper?".

Just a thought though, how different are the Ibiza engines to the Golf 1.8T?? I mean, perhaps there's something in the Ibiza lump that's causing a restriction that isn't there in the Golf?

The clue is here:

GolfTTish
What looks wierd to me is that peak power is at 5K rpm, like it would be with the Ko3. The whole point of this turbo is that it'll hold boost higher up the rev range. The biggest difference when I went from the K03s to the E05 was in the top end power, ie over 5k.

The Golf peaks almost 700RPM later than the Ibiza - ask yourselves why?

Jools figures

Went out for a little play from 2nd gear onwards Custardcupra's car is about 2-3 car quicker than my car, after a few runs it looks like the Chargecooler does the buisness, my car just gets slower and slower more than likely heat and i am running a few psi less, me 19.5psi Custardcupra 1.5bar=s 22psi. It also looks like his car is hitting the upper boost limit as it went into limp mode 2-3 times so his boost will more than likely have to be pulled back a little 20-21psi i would have thought. In conclusion and this is only my own opinion, the E05 turbo is a waste of money and a bag of shite, leave all ko based turbo's alone when it comes to the ibiza, do yourself a favour and stick a GT28r or a GT28Rs(if possible to fit the RS), or Jabbas IHI, as soon as funds allow one of the above turbo's will be on mine with a custom eng manifold. To make a real diff, 270bhp is required min, not 230-240bhp. If you dont try you never find out, are the E05 cars fast, yes they are, are they fast enough, for me no they are not. They will beat chipped Lcr's i am quite sure and 260-270bhp scoobs, and a lot of others but the gain with e05 is not enough compared to the alternatives available at the prices they are at. Basically E05 is not suitable for the Ibiza if you want a REAL performance gain.

Yes my car is going into limp mode ( 0.5bar Max) not good news yet again .A call to Jabba will be made on monday  .

Its all a question of how fast do you want to go .

Just got back from racing a CLIO 172
VERDICT
80 mph - 150 mph = 15 car lengths

Is the car quick ,yes it is , is it quick enough ,for now yes .

As madmile has stated the CC is making the difference , by 2-3 car lengths , from 40-130 mph ,in comparison to his EO5

IMHO Eo5 is a waste of money
Its still quicker than kkko3 chipped so its not all bad news.

:jog: A case of 2 steps forward and 1 back .

Just for stirring & conversation...

But would it not be in Jabba's interests to do as good a job as possible with a Turbo that's a complete unknown to them, that they've had little time with?

There's probably insufficient data freely available as well.

Maybe there isn't a Dimsport file available just yet either

Well the amount of time spent on both cars i would have expected mike to have an idea of what he was doing .
7hrs on Madmiles car and 6hrs on mine .

Looking at GOLF TTish's map its almost identical to my own barring the fact its making more power ,
but the bhp curve is very similar , but the torque curve is more of a Hillock on his .

Dor.

P.S. What's car length got to do with it? Get a fooking dragster if that's your aim.

Dissing not really, just trying to avoid other Scn members buying one for there Ibiza and exspecting anything more than 240bhp. And the bootom line is that it is a £900 turbo, there are better turbo's for less.

As for car lengths, my datron timing eqipment is in for calibration and the Cia and Mi6 refused use of there satelite tracking device as my monthly subscription bounced because i spent a small fortune on a turbo thats does nothing more on the ibiza than a stock ko4. Then again theres only 3 Ibiza owners who are in any position to make any comments on the E05, Me, custardcupra, and Revo. So car lengths are all we have to go on, and our arse dyno's.

£2000-£3000 for a longer power band, and longer slighly higher torque band. Not value bhp/£ compared to alternatives. Question is would i have gone E05 knowing what i know now......Answer No, not a chance. Faster Yes, but £2000-£3000 faster, no.
