I didn't see this coming.

To be honest, I didn't see it coming, and certainly not planned. I've put a deposit down on an 08 Plate BMW 123d M-Sport coupe with 36K on the clock, so at least its still German. I've got to admit, driving into work this morning, I do feel a little sad that the Cupra's going though :( .

I had a sneaky suspicion that this could have been the car you'd bought ;) Nice upgrade!

Lol, was I that obvious :p

It's such a different delivery of power, it's going to take some getting used to, and we'll see how long it stays standard too.... :D

Remap on that car makes it a proper quick car. Quite a sleeper too as it's quite understated. Black kidney grilles ordered ha ha? What colour is it anyway?

Its Titanium Silver, and unfortunately not hugely spec'd, but on a tightish budget, I opted to go for lower mileage over some of the other options, as I'll spec it up later ;) . I'll get some pictures up on Wednesday for those that are interested.

I like bmw silver, nice and bright. Yeah cruise control can be added fairly easily apparetly. Apart from cruise, theres nothing else i'd really want tbh. What option did you have in mind? Aye, post up some pics :)

Most things can be added fairly easily - total closure, cruise, Other bits I can't think of just now. They need coding rather than hardware. And bondiblu is the man for that ;)

total closure is standard on m sport i think. Cruise is quite dear but would be worth it for me and my licence lol.

Yeah, I'm actually quite liking the colour, and I don't normally like silver cars.

Cruise control is probably first on the list to be honest, then maybe keep my eyes open for some leathers.

Lol, I'm starting all over again , which means more diagnostic kit, many more hours reading and researching.... but, I'm sure I'll get there.

Any tips or suggestions regarding mods etc are very welcome :D

Egr and swirl flap delete ASAP (they're troublesome), make sure it has the vortex oil breather installed (anything after 08 should have)

Below is a copy and paste from my cousins 320d. All coding changes. I'd assume you'll be similar

The total closure now opens and shuts the front and rear windows, (The coupes only shut the fronts as std for some reason!) All works from the key fob remote.

The alarm beeps on lock and unlock

The anti high jack function is now active and the speed has been set to a higher level so it doesnt lock you in while just pottering about the compound.

One touch window open and close is active on all windows, not just the drivers one.

Follow me home lights now activate the front fogs, instead of the HIDs,

The alarm also now flashes the head lights when it goes off to atract attension.

That sounds interesting, thanks for that ;) and the research begins .....

I didn't have time to remove my milltek full system :( (not been on long either) , but managed to salvage my 20mm rear spacers, Whiteline rear ARB and a few other bits that have already gone. Time to recoup a little £££ for the new car.

I've already managed to gather all the bits to retrofit cruise control to the BM, so will be doing this over the easter break.
