Where you get your bits from

Who you gettin them fitted by ?

ordered the DMF and slave cylinder from a local motor factors, and my girlfriends dad managed to get the sachs organic and drive plate for me. My car is going into Seat Derby for a service and I'm getting them to fit the clutch, that way if anything goes wrong, I'm hoping it'll be easier to rectify. Still costing me £1200 approx

Just found this, nice looking car and like your progress. I have a knocking noise from the front and only thing i haven't changed is the arb bushes! Out of interest what size are the arb bushes. I have a 1.8t but i presume they would be the same size?

Thank you, still got a few things on the list. ARB bushes on mine were 18mm but no they not all the same. Yours may be 18mm but to be sure I'd ring the dealer ask for a price on bushes and while you there they'll be able to tell you the size from your chassis number, that's what I did.

Fitted today :)

No more shudder from the DMF and pulls a lot better, and of course no slippage :)

So next step, is a Milltek turbo back. Slowly getting there.

painted and ready to replace the old boot handle which is sticking up a bit and not returning to "home" position.

. The pic makes the chrome 's' look darker... Hmmm might have a play with the old one once out.

It wasn't hard, just fiddley as access is restricted, but in my opinion worth the effort. The Exhaust Gas Recirculation valve is basically an "green" Eco effort to reduce emissions, and does what it says on the tin. It feeds a portion of exhaust gases back into the air intake system primarily for emissions, but also helps the engine get to temperature quicker and helps lower diesel combustion temperatures by adding inert gases into the mixture and lowering NOx at the same time. It obviously has its disadvantages though, like mixing with the oily vapour from the crank breather and clogging up the intake manifold, reduced throttle response, and the carbon is abrasive and shortens the life of the engine amongst others.

In the last few weeks a few bits and bobs have been replaced, starting with a new 3 Bar MAP sensor, new fuel temp sensor, front suspension struts completely replaced (top mounts, bump stops, all nuts and bolts etc), rear shocks and springs is in my spare room, waiting to go on all genuine OEM parts.

Next on the list is brake caliper refurb all round + alloy wheel refurb, watch this space.

-LOG-

-Yet another Seat dealer service stamp in the book.
-Suspension now changed all round, and the ride is noticeable better now. Still hard, but the crashy feeling has gone.

 and I see all my images are screwed :censored: thanks tapatalk!!!

Spur of the moment decision, now the Cupra's going on Wednesday. Bye Bye VAG group, for now anyway. The beast will surely be missed, but onwards and upwards.
