Get some proper pics up lol! How much do you reckon to do the cruise? Mines has a fair few extras but not cruise :(

Lol, yeah I do need to take some decent ones. Well so far, cost me about £50 ish for software and k + DCan cable, I've manged to get the slip ring and lower steering cover for about £90, just need the time to do it. I have a brand new (spare) lower cover, if you need one let me know, I ended up with 2.

Yeah, basically, the new slip ring with the cruise control stalk needs to replace the old one, and because you fitting an extra stalk, the lower plastics need changing too. The rest is all coding (a lot of confusing stuff lol), be prepared for hours upon hours of reading. I'll get some decent pics once the weather perks up, and hopefully we can swap notes in the future.

There's no way i'll be attempting that myself lol. Just so i can get the parts and stuff. I'm sure there is a place near me that does a lot of coding etc for bmws so hopefully they will be able to sort it for me. I've been looking around at a few bits and bobs for the bmw and everything is a lot more expensive than the seat lol

I know what you mean, this car's going to cost me a fortune lol, as you said the badge inflates the prices, but... on the positive side, It seems to be much easier to retrofit extras compared to VAG's, its all in the software ;), so I'll be specing mine up bit by bit as time goes on. Cruise and remap are high on my priority list, the twin turbo dulls the driving experience. Yours will be a lot more fun to drive.

What kind of things can be coded by software? I've just been out and enabled drls, 3 ticks indicator and selective unlocking and something else which i've forgot lol. I'd have thought the twin turbo would have been better tbh although i'm surprised at the small difference in performance between them.

Don't know all that can be done, but fitting things like auto folding mirrors etc is quite straight forward, also digital speed display, and even idrive I believe isn't so hard.
Don't get me wrong, the twin turbo delivers, but in my opinion its too refined, it gets rid of that feeling when the boost comes in, it's a totally smooth delivery, and I miss being thrown back into my seat when I boot it. Remap in the next few weeks will help, but only going for about 250bhp, until I have the money to remove the DPF and do the job properly.

Think you'd need to change the mirrors to electric ones though which would be expensive :( I think the digi speedo is easy enough to do.

My 120d doesn't have much of a 'kick' tbh. It's very smooth too and quite dificult to tell it's a diesel once moving.

Yes, I need to get the electric mirrors first, but doing this to VAG car would be far harder. Over time, I'll get all the nice features fitted and working. I'll keep you posted mate and probably catch you on the other forum ; )

Cruise control retrofit attempted and completed this weekend :p , the software coding was a bit of a nightmare, but I've got it sussed now.

I've got some silvatec indicators bulbs to fit, and replaced the 4 X H7 bulbs up front with Osram nightbreakers.

It's coming along slowly, with pics to follow.
