The original brake booster hose was cut for providing vacuum for the cutout valve, but I bought a brand new second hand item. I don't like when critical hoses are cut...

I swapped over the MAP sensor for this hose from my car, as I have no idea how old this MAP sensor is. I also replaced the green O-ring for a brand new green nitril O-ring.

Not too long ago, I stepped in the dirty Cupra and shot some pics in the cold weather. Quote happy how it looks now, but I think I will do something else with the exhaust tips

Struggling to find one atm, as do not need it visible all the time, but looking at something like this one

The install on this gauge is very simple. Finally you just need to connect the red wire to 12 Volts +(positive) Accessory and the blue wire to 12 Volts -(negative) or the vehicle chasis for ground. Boost Gauge.

I can highly recommend buying a battery monitor. I forgot to create a screenshot for the old EFB battery, but I can tell you it made a big difference.

In the meantime I tried 2 other standalone vacuum pumps for the cutout valve, but both did not work correctly So I decided to re-use the vacuum solenoid which was already in the car, but with some changes:

- Used black heavyduty / reinforced vacuum hose for the cutout valve, instead of cheap blue silicone hose
- Tapped vacuum from the turbo boost gauge line, instead of the brake booster hose
- Incorporated a one way check valve to prevent boost leaks, instead of not using a check valve
- Connected the solenoid to a switched 12v in the fusebox under the bonnet, instead of directly on the car battery

Bought a new oil cap with 2 seals, but I didnt get the red seal to fit. The upper green seal fits, no issues. And it has the Castrol logo, even though I haven't been using Castrol for a long time

Added a little heat management to the fuel feed hose. Unfortunately, I'm not very happy with the fitment, so I will have to see what I will do in the future. As petrol also cools, I wanted to help a little as the feed hose runs directly over the hot engine.

Most of the wrap isnt even visible. Its quite thick layered and has velcro at the edge for easy attachment.

On the right side of the HPFP you can also see the check valve for the vacuum solenoid (picture 2 & 3)

As I mentioned before, I wasn't totally satisfied with the oval tips. So I went ahead and took a little gamble on 2x round 101mm exhaust tips I was inspired by the Golf MK8 GTI and they worked out great!

They are massive

Quality is nice, but not perfect. But at this price point, I am not complaining at all

This looks way more aggressive and "in your face" compared to the ovals. The ovals look more stylish, but that is not the look I was going for.

The inside of the tips need to become black. That will happen in time with carbon soot, no worries there

I think it will look even better/more aggressive with the Rieger Tuning diffuser

I wanted to buy the DO88 intake, but I adjusted my goals a little bit. I want to see how well the Cupra responds to budget friendly mods. In the end I can always buy the more expensive "tried and tested" products right?

I found this type of intake on Aliexpress, but it seems I could also order it on a known dutch webshop. So I got it within a number of days and only cost me about 115 euro, which is a steal if it works well

Filter looks and feels pretty cheap. Unfortunately no builtin velocity stack, which is to be expected at this price point

The tube looks great from the outside! Its a 3.5" tube, which is big

But the insides show a big ridge on both sides where the pipes were welded together. Again, this is not a surprise at this price point. This might have some effect once you remap it, but I don't expect this to have negative impact on my stock Cupra. I wanted to grind it down, but there is way I could achieve this, not even with my smallest dremel accessoires...

Overall quality looks nice, especially for only 115 euro

For a budget intake, this looks awesome I already ordered another airfilter, which is still way cheaper than a proper aftermarket solution (+-450-500 euro on average)

It sounds great! If you love induction (turbo sucking noises) and muffled blowoff, then go for an open intake.
