well i got it working again contactable by vcds again phew  seems if you start playing around with things in the variant info screen you can knock it out of whack.

so this unit can be brand changed to seat if needed.

seems if you want to change the part number to make it fully converted you need to use the E2Ptool which i have yet to find. 3VO035020A becomes 5F0035020D with the last seat firmware.

It can't work, you need to stay in the 3xx range because of your hardware, you can't install P05xx or P04xx firmwares.
Maybe someone here can help you to go back..

The last compatible firmware for you seems to be MST2_EU_SE_ZR_P0369T ( here )

Just need to find how to flash it now
Thanks for this important information as i am also trying to update my unit which is currently on MST2_EU_SE_ZR_P0351T.

The last compatible firmware you advised is MST2_EU_SE_ZR_P0369T which I'm trying to download it but i keep getting bad gateway error.

Is there anywhere else i can find this firmware to download, or does anyone have a copy that they can share with me please?

Cheers

Hi,
I have a question regarding the SW upgrade. My Seat Leon ST Mk3 (2015 year) has the MIB2 version number : MHI2_ER_SKG11_P0257. The MIB helpes says the latest vesrion for this unit is MHI2_ER_SKG11_K3343. It is strange that a Seat has a Skoda version but ok. My question is if it safe to upgrade to this latest version? As i have read on this forum, the last numbers are important and I do not want to brick my system :)

Thnx for the help

Good question we have seen Skoda software on Seat's before. Grey matter. It can get onto them since they have been previously incorrectly updated.

Oh yes it has come up before

Eventually a few pages down they got a solution but a bit technical. It is a mib2 high so they don't get bricked unlike mib2 standards if you jump trains. The AIO train is fine for mib2 high jumping but the issue you have is that it's on a Skoda. You edit something if you read down on that post. May even recompute checksums. So doesn't seem straightforward but the posters did do it. AIO1447 was designed for Seat's as the starting point so your starting point it doesn't see.

If it's a FeC update you are after for map updates etc then you can use mib tool as as I said. Depends why you want to do it. Skoda or Seat life long navigation FeCs can be added to the list... hmm although here those for Mib Tools it has to have a module in it, it recognises, that's probably not there. You'd have to read up on the documentation of mib2 tools and try. It does tell you if it can't see the module. They have hooks on the module, so they swap out the original and put in a modified one that Mib Tools accesses.

You must be the third person then with mib2 high Skoda software on a Seat... actually forth. OK... @leonlad I recall bought a cheap Skoda Mib2 high and tried to fit it to a Seat. May be able to help. That's on the thread above. Think I have my posters right on this one. Somebody did anyway.

You can fiddle them by taking them apart which is what @East Yorkshire Retrofits offers. But it is not an authorised update but a retrofitters method. So that's available but not DIY unless it's published as such. You pay your money and somebody does it for you.

There is some modded firmware about that jumps trains, but people on the thread have a dim view of them, don't work properly. So those trains with the T on the end are the dealer trains which are the authorised by an authorised dealer to update within train, not across train for the Mib2 standard. Essentially updates to the trains came out and were placed within the train series. Things such as fixing AA. That fix was published for each train.

Have a 2016 Leon FR with the 6P0 infotainment system (MST2_EU_SE_ZR_P0253T), and I finally managed to get Full-Link unlocked via OBDeleven and MIB2 Toolbox, only to find its only got MirrorLink, NOT Android-Auto or Carplay...
Is this something that can be added with a firmware update?
I tried downloading from mibsolution.one, but either the site is seriously bugged or my connection is, but I couldn't download anything.
MIBHelper says that firmware v.0253 would work, but I can't seem to find a good download?
Any help guys?
I am in exactly the same boat as you are what steps did you take to get carplay and AA? Any hel

Disclaimer - do this at your own risk! This is what I did for my head unit (though in my case the firmware and SDCard fix were P0369T due to my unit hardware).

i) Update and install firmware to P0253T via sdcard. Download MST2_EU_SE_ZR_P0253T from mibsolution.one
ii) Download and unzip SDCard firmware patch : SE_ZR_P0253T_FEC_ALL_CID_OFF_CP_OFF_SPORT_FIXED from mibsolution.one
iii) Place patch onto sdcard and install this as a firmware update

Installing the patch from SD via FW update
1. Insert SD card into SD slot of the unit (only possible if you have a unit with an SD slot)
2. Press and hold MENU button for 3 seconds to enter Service menu video .
3. Go to Software update/versions → Update → continue with the installation

In theory this should give you wired android auto (for Apple Carplay you may need to update your USB connector slot depending upon the age of your car - there's some hardware protocol that Apple demands that older Seats, like mine, don't have!) and also allows any new MIB2 map files simply to be accepted by copying onto your Map SDCard (save old files on there to your PC just in case).

Risks - may require to fix Park assist/pilot ('pdc' and modes (aka 'Charisma'): fixed by adaptations (making them 'active' in bap gen2 adaptations) in module 5F using OBDeleven (this is the well known VAG app + OBD dongle). May also be other issues (eg. Seatsound parameters may need reload) depending upon whether you are updating or swapping your head unit. Good luck whatever you try and again research carefully as this is at your own risk!
