That's going to be the boot loader only wanting to load up Skoda firmware ?. Wonder what happens if you open it up and do that pin short trick whether that's helpful or whether it reverts back to Skoda only. Don't take my word for it.
We did have @Chillout in our ranks once. He'd know.i actually got some seat firmware on it but it does not work properly, i think i stupidly jumped the wrong train also the unit is h42 0318 firmware
i managed to get in to the emergency flash tool but it will not accept any firmware on sd card or usb. complains about train info variant mismatch when trying from the update method. i wonder if the metainfo needs to be edited so it does a full install of the original firmware.
now the issue is i have given up on converting fully to seat and now trying to restore it back to skoda but as it has updated the variant info now it keeps asking for seat LOL. the mib2 std was so much easierWe did have @Chillout in our ranks once. He'd know.
I can answer a bit of that. The mib2 high units divide into two or whatever. Pre smartphones 1amp was all you needed. Those early version mib2 high set ups only put 1amp out. You know this since on an Android smartphone it will tell you it's not taking the full charge and that % battery falls.Little offtop but does anybody know how much amperage could usb deliver in leon 3?
Mine can't even maintain phone %; its slowly dropping; not sure exact number maybe ill check tomorrow. The one that support carplay have more output?
I'm looking for wireless AA box and I don't even know if usb will have enough power to run it..
There are some photographs on the board of people's solutions. I've seen them. Cables and boxes tucked in. It gets round that the car can't get 2amps out of the USB socket of those early units since they were not designed for power hungry smartphones that need 2amps. As said VAG fixed it but we're a bit late to the party.By wireless aa i have on mind boxes that plugs into usb (you connect to them wirelessly and it gives data thru usb to car)
If port is creating 5v it could be it But as it's connected to unit and getting 5v from it I'm not sure...
so if anyone could tell something on that subject I will be grateful.
With wireless aa box I'm going to use 12v adapter; later maybe fitting usb in center console(if it will be 2A)
I can't image good spot for wireless charger
which thread ?You could try the main mib2 firmware thread there were some experts about on there. Naughtly we could pick @East Yorkshire Retrofits brains, the reliable experts in retrofit. How to convert a Skoda mib2 high to a Seat mib2 high.
cheers think i have mostly cracked it now, kept saying navigation database not available but there is a tool in toolbox to format the partition for the map dataThis thread
SW update for MIB2 infotainment system?
Yes the mib2 standard firmware isn't the bees knees it allows memory mismanagement we did get it once in the Arona. I pinned it down. That was due to embedded JPEGs in the music file being played in the unit. They are suppose to be circa 512x512. You would not expect a large jpeg breaking that...www.seatcupra.net
both the aio has its own but the separate one has more options to change variant etcOf the two mib2 high toolboxes which one are you using ?.
Must be new having its own. Busy programmers.both the aio has its own but the separate one has more options to change variant etc
First time i have played around with a harman unit, not sure really. Not sure if the conversion is correct or not as i can't connect to it with vcds CAN is no longer live but neverything else works apart from full link. I do wonder if there are more brand changes needed as the part number still a skoda one.Must be new having its own. Busy programmers.
These things you only use once unless running a business.
