Dash probably means nothing to do or done. So probably fine.

I have heard people waiting on the screen at the end where it's done. So you have to boot out of it. Seems like you did that.

A FeC check of before and after. It runs mib tools at the end. We have had people say no to that so don't get the FeC upgrade but since you had the FeC from previous retrofit work if you aborted that you'd keep the FeCs you had or get the ones it puts in if yes.

Check you have the radio logo icons you had before, long hold business. Its probably fine. If the maps got deleted re-install. If you can't then it will be the FeCs.

Basically 1447AIO is 1447 plus the FeC upgrade to turn everything on. Grace notes update but you probably don't use that. CD album art. Radio logo update etc.

On the other main thread the issue April / May 2022 on was where they had been playing with the user defined pallet screen colours so couldn't get them to match the FIS. The FIS ones don't have that range. That's what that was about. I'm happy with the more limited colours 8 or 15 whatever that number is.

If you do have the Seat Sound System check the woofer. There was something that Chillout posted about 1447 supporting only beats and sound. They might have fixed that now.

Basically 1447 you would have seen in production Ateca Cupras and not much else I reckon. By that stage Beats and Sounds was the speakers fitted. There will be a VCDS / Obdeleven toggle on that if you have the Seat Sound System / track down what Chillout was saying if it's an issue. Suspect that's sorted.

I had a quick look on the installed FeCs screen, I didn't notice anything problematic
but I'm going to do a one by one comparison with the photos of that screen I took before I started.

Radio logos are intact but there seems to be minor version downgrade, mine was ending with .48, it became .40 after the update.
Not a big thing, I could update again later.

Maps are looking fine, navigation is working, map versions looks unchanged.
But again, we don't know if this is because of that "metafile error" or because of they are already up to date.

As for Gracenotes, most probably I wouldn't need it but I had downloaded the latest version anyway and copied it to its folder in the update structure before I had started so it must be updated, I think. I'll check this out too.

I had turned 30-color feature using OBDEleven. MIB2 High with 1409 firmware had applied my color selection from that palette to infotainment menus correctly. That is still the case with 1447 so no problems there.

I had Seat Sound as a factory fitted option with my original MIB2 Std unit, but I wasn't sure whether it is really working or not after the MIB2 High replacement. After the unit replacement, necessary codings were made and subwoofer menu option was turned on. But its setting range sounds so narrow and I'm not sure that's the way it was before. Somehow I had set the subwoofer to a level that I liked and forgotten about it. So it needs a more thorough look to check whether it got correct parameterization via VCP, regardless of this update to 1447.

Anyway, I've been thinking about re-applying this update, if it is possible at all of course, this time from a more robust SD card, not an old USB stick. Maybe that was the cause of metafile reading faults.

Best regards,
Serdar

A map update is separate. The errors could just script errors, the way it's written 🤔. Just untidy.

Hi! I recently bought an Seat Leon FR prod date mid 2014 and I'm looking for MIB update as its very old as I understand number correctly(and thinking it would activate an android auto function)
I have seat sound system, nav and only mirror link function that doesnt work

5F0035020
H21.100.62_HIGH2_EU
MHI2_ER_SEG11_S0257
MU 0123
H21.100.62-201408121454

The question is; Can I use AIO to get the 4709 ver? is it correct train and mib; not a too high jump on versions; will sub still work?
If there is everything ok; I should leave default nav region on AIO or change it to er? As its MHI2_ER but H21 in EU(I live in central EU)

Custom AIO are available for ER and US FW.
As standard they are configures to enable EU and NAR map regions during installation.

Lots of questions but looking on flashing software I'm afraid on bricking unit so I would really appreciate answers

If it's really a mib2 high you can jump "trains" unlike mib2 standard which screws it up. Examples of people on the site having done that. Checkout what is also bring said on the main software thread (search 1447). You just run AIO to the end. It may ask you do you want... at the end. Yes you do. If you cut the installation short it won't write all the FeCs that is the AIO bit. Someone did that and wondered why it didn't work. It runs Mib Tools module which does the FeC edit. Cut it short and you get a copy of the very last firmware update for mib2 highs but you keep your FeCs from 2014. Basically it adds FeCs to the list so sees the old and new but takes new in precedence.

Now there is something about changing the USB on these old models for Android Auto. Originally your port were not for data that in the dash you plug into. Let someone else fill that gap in, think I'm right saying this. It's the issue that people get fitting these units into old mib1 kitted out cars... I think I'm correct on this. @Walone ?. Android Auto was a pipe dream in those days...

Yes so search out those guys on the threads here that did it on very old units.

I read lots of threads and that's why I'm concerned about if its really that unit(looking at production date); probably I will take a look at it in the glovebox if its harman?

I'll take more look into thread about sw update;
Also I have on mind that I probably have to change usb port in glovebox but it shoudn't make any harm to try on actual one after injection of aio? There were also posts about that android auto could work but no carplay.

With navi region I probably should leave everything as it is? it should have eu maps but ER in MHI2 version its giving me doubts
Any info about seat sound system?

Ah and developer menu must be activated to run it? I have obd11 but borrowed it to a friend

Thanks for reply

So it's possible to jump directly
and probably i will need obd11 in case of unit freezing on booting screen and fixing SVM..

Good idea since you might need need to customise the screens to get them how you want them. Obdeleven Pro version or VCDS. Not the micro payment version that just runs specific apps. The pro license allows you to "code".

1447AIO is hobbyist developed code which is clever in what it achieves. You do need to program the unit with it on a battery charger or engine running. Loss of power during programming will lead the unit in an unbootable state. There have been instances where it finishes but leaves the unit looking that it hasn't.

There were two people atleast that did it on these early units. Read up on those. You should find the one where it stopped during programming but had finished.

Hi Tell, I had MIB2 High with AA and Carplay from factory,
This was taken a few weeks after taking delivery.

Okay, I've decided to give it a go today. What's better, more secure; let the engine running on idle or plug the battery to external?
If it will froze on seat logo do i just wait half an hour in case anything is running in background then restart unit? holding power/volume button? then sd card out? As I read on github its better to setup autorun than manually select update?

Probably on the last one. Attempt the power reboot. Some have pulled the lead out of the back of the unit or disconnected the battery.

It's like the SWDL back end menu you never quite know when it's finished on map updates through the backend menu. I press the on button after I think it's been off long enough. With the re boots you never know whether it's going to restart... in this instance so I understand it suspends but needs to be kicked out of the macro. If that's what is reported.

Look out for when it passes control to mib2 tools code to do the additional FeC stuff eg. Performance screens, off road and lifetime map care. If you say no you end up keeping your FeCs without the FeC boost.

You can look at the macro but do that on a different copy since any accidental edits will screw up the meta check sums for integrity. You might be able to work out how it's suppose to exit. That's how I found out someone had skipped the mib tools code that's in it and then complained they didn't get it.

The engine running should be sufficient but the battery charger gives you a bit more protection.

I've used external charger, autorun; so to sum it up; update from 0123: after about 15-20 min screen froze on seat logo(for reassurance I waited till 1h) holded power to restart it then it showed up finalizing and after some time - end screen(Start backup documentation / Start diagnostic tester: Main unit/version) clicked cancel and thats it. Didn't get screen that asks if I want FeC... I removed sd card and straight to testing.
Full link option appeared instead of mirror link; clicking on it I have info about carplay/android so probably fec's are there.
mib aio are not there(there is green menu but no option to fix svm here)

car photo remained old, startup logo(seat fr sound system) also old; climatronic setup screen is't showing anything tho(only temp; not image)
sub ant its settings also still works

AA isn't working(i must take a look at usb settings via vcds/obd11 or change that port..)

I've just updated maps and all I have left is POI
I've used 350 ver EU(almost 30GB) cuz thats what mib-helper showed me
but on mibsolutions i see P390_N60S5MIBH3_EU 2025 (only MIB2) uploaded on wednesday but idk if that's correct one because its only about 16gb

Thanks for help 💪

There are 370 maps last June. I'm sort of waiting for someone to leak 390... the Russian hadnt done it. That may be it. 16gb is because from 370, last June they just package up mib2 high only. 350 and before was a joint mib1 /2 high release. They dropped mib1 high support in 370 hence the small size. What's in the directories is meaningless since their file naming directory stuff is potty.

The mib2 tools github project... there are two... got to remember is name... will type in gives the FeCs in the documentation. You press the appropriate buttons to read off the FeCs. I should have said photograph them before and after. I have given the key combination. Long hold on the menu button. Will give you installed and possible FeCs. You check the documentation.

You should find all the FeCs in here listed

370 follow the links here:

I will check for 390. It's the number I'm expecting in the sequence. We didn't do new mathematics for no reasons .

This guy has been good at laying hands on them in the past prior to general release

Screenshot_20241023_183228_Chrome.jpg

Then they get sniffed out on Skoda and VW servers before being wrapped in a webpage. Due to the Audi TT I'm told that mib2 high Audi ones will go on for a time beyond Skoda and VW... we'll see.
