Has anyone done a DSG reset using basic transmission settings in obdeleven? I can't seem to activate it (no option available, even though hood is up, transmission temp 30-100, foot on the break, engine on, parking mode).

Did it on the MK3 and worked fine, when you say no options available do you mean that there is no basic setting in the gearbox control unit or something else.

I don't like how it behaves after 3 years, 1-2 gear change sometime quite jerky...

I go into basic setting of transmission, but when I slide "activate" nothing happens - it still shows status "not active"

Sorry to labor the point but you go into Basic settings and then you select Basic setting of transmission or something else.

Secondly you have the bonnet open but do you have SFD Auto unlocked and strong connection to internet.

Final question does anything work or is it just this feature that is failing.

I have used the tool to code the battery (via gateway module) with no issues (so SFD and bonnet is known to me). But nothing in transmission module seem to be working. I do a have a fault there that I can't remove - P082B00 (gear lever X position sensor 1 circuit low) - could it be because of that?

This is the Prerequisites for the 6 speed box

• Fluid Temperature 30...100 °C (86...210 °F), see Measuring Blocks, Group 019. (Fluid Level needs to be correct!)
• Selector Lever in P
• Ignition ON
• Engine ON (Idling) for one minute or more
• Brake Pedal operated (hold for the whole procedure)
• Throttle Pedal not operated
• Cruise control is switched OFF

I can't clear that error above, so I suspect that's reason, the rest of the instructions I've followed exactly...

Old dashboard cluster unfortunately not supported.

Nice one. I’ve just had Lane Assist coding done so it’s off as standard instead of on and warning lights don’t show. Over the moon as I hated it but can still use it via driver assist systems

Same here I thin this is not supported by the cluster HW as the early cluster had different hardware

Hi, im trying to code TrailerMode (69) but when i use Security Code 20103 its not accepting that code.
Im using VCDS and Hex-V2 and have no problem to communicate with the software/hardware to the car.

Are there other codes or other ways to implement trailer mode?
I really appriciate your help and i need this to be fixed so i can take my son to motocross camp.

No, i didnt think can bus gateway was included in the sfd protection. But perhaps it is?

Im new to this but i want to learn.
Do you know if its protected and what tool could i use to unlock it? Price?

Just to be clear are you having issues trying to add control unit 69 to the car or is it the coding of the control unit.

With regards to control unit 69 if you go to live data and have an element called SFD activated status then the control unit is SFD Protected, if it does not have this then its not and I did a quick check on a car with one fitted and it does not look like its SFD Protected.

Unlocking of SFD you need to use OBD11 Pro which currently sells for Eur100 or you can buy an unlock token and use VCDS to do the work.
I know Carista also unlocks SFD but I dont know if you can just do an unlock and then use VCDS to code the changes.

According to the best list of access codes I know about https://forums.ross-tech.com/index.php?threads/19270/ 20103 is a good code

Is it possible that you have entered to many incorrect codes (you can check this in live data using security access number of invalid keys, if its more than 3 then its locked out and you have to leave the car on for a few minutes till it resets back to 0

Hello and thank you for your reply.

I have understood it to mean that I have to check the box for 69 (trailer) first and then press Write Code. when it happens it says "Coding rejected error 33, security access required". I then back out of "Installation list" and choose "Security Access" instead. In there, I then test with the code 20103 and then I get an error that the code is not correct. Now when I test I get "Service not supported in active session" instead. So I guess I'm temporarily locked out.

When the control unit is added i suppose i can modify (code) it to work with parking sensors etc?

The car is currently standing with the charger connected to the battery and with the ignition on (car not running). So I have to wait a bit and try again?

I haven't tested live data in VCDS, but I'll do some reading and check out what you wrote.
