Changed the coding today and the fault code has now gone. Not sure what that setting is supposed to be. Google suggests un networked heat module. Either way selecting not installed has solved the problem..

Sorry for the late response, I saw you had posted the other week but have been too busy to respond until now.

I do remember coming across this error not long after installing the seats, but for whatever reason I didn't look further into it as it wasn't causing issues with functionality. I'm glad you managed to find a solution to the issue and appreciate you sharing the info for it here.
I've updated the guide to reflect this and have credited you for your contribution.

Many thanks!
Lozzy.

Lozzy15 updated Retrofit Heated Seats - A Complete How-To with a new update entry:

Error correction.

Forum member @STU3Y found an issue with some of the coding instructions in the guide. The guide has been updated to reflect this, however if you have previously used the guide and have come across error code B133914 [009] please carry out the following instruction to correct this:

Connect VCDS to the car and goto Central Electics. Click Security Access and enter code 31347 then click Do It!.
Now go to Adaptations and using the search function type 'Sitz', then press...

I have the half leather half alcantara seats from the black edition Ibiza. I want to pull the fabrics back but I've heard / read that alcantara and fake leather don't really stretch much and I'll likely damage it if I have a go for it?

Example of the seats from ebay

The heating pads or element for the fr seats..
I don't need the seats itself.
This guide only has the number for the se model and apparently it's a different shape heating pads.

Is it this style of seat?

If so the P/N should be 5F0963557C for the back pad and 5F0963555D for the bottom pad.

Yeah this exact one. Respect for the help. I'll have a look for one now.
Do you have an idea where to get one already,, just since you know the codes already.

There's an ebay listing for the bottom pad here - https://www.ebay.co.uk/p/6061653631

The upper pad seems harder to find, there's one for sale on a polish site here - https://allegro.pl/oferta/mata-grze...lM96IoU8im8JXXzO1rmxj5tMB9P0fajsJtBoPa1psQHVi

There's a drivers seat for sale here that you could take apart for the pads, it's only for one seat but they might have the passenger one if you enquire - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/13501137...uid=oGGTyFpDQzK&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

The only other thing I can suggest is to try Aliexpress, or local selling pages on facebook for people selling the seats.

If you can find SE seats/pads, they can be modified to fit and they will work - that's what I did with mine and they've been spot on since I made the guide.

You used to be able to get parts from a company called TPS - as far as I am aware they don't sell to the public anymore, but if you have a local branch it might be worth ringing and asking as they might be able to help.

Hope that helps.

This helps alot. I was trying to make it as easy as possible. I am an electrician but never messed with cars ! So just trying to keep everything as simple as possible.
I'm hoping to do this without ever doing car electrics before and keeping price under £500 🤞🏾

If I get stuck I'll be sure to post

Don't forget that you need a new climate control panel, a high-quality BCM control unit and, ideally, a ready-made cable set?

My car is the leon st fr 2017.. hopefully it's the high BCM as you said in the description by the year of car.
I will also get the new climate control panel. Around £150

I will order some parts from kufetec you mentioned.
"You have said I will need Kufatec part 39952 Variant 1 (€59.00) & 39962 Variant 1 (€39.00)."
Will I need to order 1 of each or 2 of each ?

And will I also need these...
"Kufatec wiring looms can be found here:
Frame to BCM Loom - https://www.kufatec.com/en/comfort-...adjustment/harness-seat-heating-for-mqb-39952
Pad to Frame Loom - https://www.kufatec.com/en/comfort-...e-set-seat-heating-heating-mats-for-mqb-39962 "

In total is that 4 wiring looms or possible 6 I will need to order ?

Guide now located in the new resources section of the site

Hello! I'm coming to the party late, but I have recently purchased what I believed to be all the required items. After digging into the car a bit, I noticed that the passenger seat has a 6 pin connector compared to the 4 pin that comes with the Kufatec harness. The OEM connector seems to plug into the NAR(?) from the research that I have done.

Are there any workarounds you may suggest?

Thanks!

Hi,

Your location suggests you are based in the US? There is a difference in the wiring for US based models, off the top of my head I don't know what the extra wires are for.

Looking at the photo you posted I can only spot 5 wires in total?

I'll try and have a look for what the extra wire/wires are for later today if I get chance. Looking back at the guide I mentioned about this difference but never clarified what they are for so I may never have found out the difference!

Cheers,
Lozzy.

Yes, that is correct. I'll have to double check but I think there is a green and yellow wire behind the others. I'll confirm that when I have a moment! The driver's side has matching connectors.

Thank you!
