Hello,

Does the seat leon FR with pack L (from France) get the capacitive steering wheel ?
As if I approach a blank line, the steering wheel will make car go the center again.
I would like the travel assist, I saw that I maybe need to buy a capacitive steering wheel, and then buy OBDeleven to add the code.
But I can't find a steering wheel and I don't know the approximate price (I'm in France).
Pack L does not include the capacitive steering wheel.
You can search for earlier post to find the serial number of the capacitive steering wheel for the FR finition.
price tag can greatly vary depending on seller and availability.

Thanks,
Once I found a steering wheel, I just need OBDeleven, and it's fine ?
I found one for 255€ :)
How much did you pay yours ?

What about manufacturer's warranty ?

Price vary greatly, got mine for 225€, some others up to 700-800€.
and yep, you only obd eleven, the right tool to remove the old and install the new wheel, you can find the reference in earlier post.
someone posted a tutorial. On a side note, you can do it without removing anything on the steering column if you’re agile enough to remove the airbag

But someone told I would need a "special code" to modify this with on OBDEleven, right ?
And he told "you need to find someone who can give you this code".
And I still didn't understand this

There’s maybe a code needed for a module but it’s already there in the odb eleven app, so don’t worry. The guy who told you that clearly didn’t know what he was talking about

I did the retrofit by myself (except for changing the wheel, I had a garage do that for me). I paid 60€ for that and 260€ for the wheel on 4yourdrive.de
I was unsure about coding the TA on OBDeleven myself, but it is really easy and I recorded my iPhone screen while doing it. You can take a look here. (Unfortunately you can’t see what exactly I was selecting). But I coded exactly what was written in this post.

Edit: at minute 6 of the video you can see that there is a code needed but it is already integrated in the app.

I know it's redundant with my post in the color thread, but just in case someone is not following the entire forum and could have an idea:

I need your help:

My problem is to access more colors for the interior led lighting of my Leon 4 (the changes of the leon 3 do not apply to the 4, the menus, submenus, long coding and adaptations are different)

It would seem that these 4 lines of code (this is the factory coding, 10 choices, 10 different colors) in unit 09, under "interior light hmi config"' determine how many choices are possible (2, 10 , 12, 17 , 20 etc..) and what colors are available (redundant or new):

interior_light_hmi_config
Hmi ambient colors bitmask
3FF
Hmi contour colors bitmask
3FF
Hmi ambient colors fod bitmask
3FF
Hmi outline colors fod bitmask
3FF

The problem is that it is a hexadecimal code and it determines both the number of color choices and the different colors that can be accessed.
For example:

8b00ff gives 12 color choices and all are different.
7fffffff gives 20 color choices but these are 2x the same 10.

Not having the technical level, I cannot understand the correlation between a hexadecimal code and its consequences on 2 aspects: number of choices and number of different colors.

Does someone have an idea ?

Hi, the code to have 12 colors, I discovered it myself, putting the final code and there are 20 redundant colors which seems to be the maximum number of colors. the bitmask does not allow the addition of colors but creates thresholds for spaces and takes the colors already available from other items in the control unit. OBD11 does not seem able to change these values. observing the control unit of a born cupra which also has magenta color for example, it has a normal bitmask, other values change, but although I have copied all the colors they keep repeating. It looks like a more internal setting of the ECU.
The code that makes 12 colors appear is exactly the purple hex code, which was the first I tried. Nobody will help you because the color dynamics are not clear to anyone. Only MBQ retrofit says that with version 1896 it is possible to activate purple with a swap code only with odis license. I don't know if this is true, but when I published my bitmask under his post, he replied that it is not possible for it to make 12 colors appear ... but it does because I have tried it on various versions and it works. Nobody wants to share.

I attach the file created with the major encodings.... some versions (my2020) don't support all the encodings unfortunately.
We have also improved the emergency brake assist

Thanks for your reply, I agree with you that the color dynamics are unclear to most and that’s precisely why I’m fishing for someone who might know.
anyway, I found a color bitmask with more than 10 colors including a dark red. I’ll post it later when I can get back to my car (tried like 30 combinations, have to find it again).
finally, looking at how we succeed to get news tones, if not really new colors, I think we still have things to find toying with this

Hi, thank you, finally someone trying new colours.
With the 12-colour one, it comes out a light blue that I really like as well as the blue which was my favourite. but I would be happy to try other combinations. Let me know the code you found!

Had 20 minutes to try today. Got some codes with photos. I’ll post them tonight.
didn’t find back the dark red yet

So tried some codes for the ambient light:
(as a note: The photos seem to show for exemple many whites, but they are indeed different white/grey-white/grey/very light blueish.)

7F34CD > 15 choices, I think 2 duplicates in the yellow but other wise different tones for all colors.

880808 > (this is the hex code for a red) only 4 choices and no blue or red.

DC143C > many choices of different yellow/orange tones, no blues.

FA32CCA > 14 choices, many white/grey, blue, yellow/red/orange but no real green.

FF0000 > (red hex) only 8 color choices, no red

7FFF4 > (here I tried beginning with 7F and adding a 4digit green hexa code) 20 choices, some duplicates.

So far, from what I'm gathering, codes beginning with 7F give the biggest number of choices, but also with some duplicates.
I'm sure there's something to find here in order to have access to more choices and no duplicates.

I wanted to try to new codes, so didn't go over all my previous one for the dark red. But I'll eventually retest them all

Great job guys! Hope you will soon find the combination for the purple colour. Keep up the good work!

Have you tried #800080 yet? The Hex colour for purple

Is there a way to turn off the auto lights high beam function ? I really can’t get on with it and would rather have manual control
There is a way to do this without OBD-II. Just turn off the Auto mode on the lighting panel. You have to do this every time though as the car will always start in auto mode.

Don’t have much hope about purple.
A number of pros say it’s impossible with obd and I would tend to agree. If it was possible, I think the code would already be out. And I only have very few moments I can spare to try.
but at least, we may be able to get 20 different colors or tones even if it’s not purple.
and yes, already tried 800080, nothing special about it

Hi, I've tried practically 30/40 hex codes, but the resulting colours are always the same, the ECU is stuck... with bitmask 8b00ff there are 12 colours that are all different. This is the best of all. Unfortunately purple or magenta do not appear because they are not enabled in the ECU elsewhere. If you find out anything you will be informed. At the moment I would advise anyone with a 17xx or higher ECU to upgrade for black screen problems, blockages etc to the 1896 that has been released by going to their dealership.
Also my2020s with the 16xx can access this update while my2021 16xxs cannot yet.

Not just the 16xx then. On the Formentor thread the telematic stuff isn't being upgraded yet unless you are on 16xx.... the drift. Have to wait inline for some, including the clicking.

I know the ones for Seat Leon:

The additional recall for MY2020 only is called 90T4
and this is the TPI summary:

TPI 2066692/1 for cars with 16xx > 1896

TPI 2066091/4 for cars with 1780 > 1896

TPI 2066091/1 for cars with 1790, 1803, 1804 and 1890 > 1896

actually, even MY2021 can have the update if you push your CC a little. It seems it's basically deployed globally now.

I got this error message.
Anyone knows why?

Why don't you just turn this on in the cars menu? See the manual page 122 under "Convenience turn signals". No need to OBD-II program it.

"The convenience turn signals are activated and deactivated in the infotainment system
by means of the function button [Picture of the Car icon] > Exterior> Lights > Convenience turn signals"
