Hello,

I got my capacitive steering wheel today and now I am trying to code TA with infos in message #118 by zoidberg, but I can't code unit 13 at all. I also have tons of error messages after changing the steering wheel? Please help, I changed my old steering wheel back and get all the same errors and unit 13 cannot be coded. Any ideas? Have you the bonnet open?

If I remember right Unit 13 needs a password

Scroll down the list for unit 13 to security access and it should show you a login code you can use
Thank you Sir! This worked like a charm, Travel Assist is fully working. Still bit nervous because those error lights just disappeared, when they are coming back.

I woundn't worry too much about those errors coming back, I had the same thing. I think it's a consequence of unplugging the battery, once all the systems resets the errors disappear and everything is good :)

How often your car asks to take control of the steering wheel when TA is on? And is it enough to just swipe a bit of the steering wheel or do you need to grab and hold it for a while?

I think mine asks it all the time, no matter how good markings on the road or is the road straight or curvy.

It really depends on the ambient conditions, as the sensors measure a change in electricity when you touch the wheel. On humid days or if you are sweating a lot, the conductivity is higher and less touch is needed to trigger the sensor. So some days a light touch with two fingers is enough, other days you have to grip a little harder or use a larger surface area (more fingers on the wheel). Most days, if I just keep both hands on the wheel, I will never see the warning.

In any case, touching the wheel should be enough. If you have to tug the wheel, then I think you are missing some coding?

Yesterday I drove 400km and tried to rest my hand with couple fingers on bottom of the steering wheel, that was most certainly not enough. Then I tried to warm my hand a bit, so they got more sweat, but no results. So at the end I had to take a good grip to it and show the car who's the boss and yell "I'm driving here, you piece of sh*t", =results

First conclusion: I did codings like you have done and marked with red boxes in post #118. Everyone else here have done it like that with good results, so there must be some fault in my codings, I have to double check it.
Second conclusion: I have to buy humidifyer to my car so I conduct better.

Damn, It's hard to own smarta*s car like this.

BTW: Thank you @Zoidberg , for your effort and helping with this Travel Assist coding

Hi everyone, I have also fitted the steering wheel with travel, but I don't see the cars arriving as shown in the demonstration videos. Yet my car has blind spot radar, I should see everything. Do you have an explanation?

well, if you have all the necessary hardware, then it can only be bad coding.

How and where do you select this? I also have a manual gearbox version.
my users settings and accounts have been deleted with the update, so it's setting from stock.

Ambient light: set to individual

Hmm ok strange…if I set to individual and drive select the color is blue.
Anyone else knows how we can code the purple color? Maybe if Widil shares the OBD settings?

Can you share the hmi config codes before you recreate the user settings? People also ask you for it on Obdeleven forum. ;)

Well, made a backup of hmi config today before setting my users account.
Think it was a good idea but also think I should have maybe backed up the entire car.

Once I've set up my user account, I lost the purple color and back to the old ones.

I'll give me a day or two to analyze what changed before/after but here's a thing interesting;

Color bitmask settings directly out of the garage was: 7FFFFFFF and after setting the user: 3FF
Knowing that on the octavia 7FFFFFFF is the key to the purple color, it's seems to me it's perfectly logical that it was needed to have the purple color out of the garage on my leon.

Anyway, I'll post the back up before/after probably monday if I can't make a breakthrough.

Would be cool if I could find the solution and share it with the community

That is very interesting and strange it has changed back to 3FF, a bummer you lost the purple color. Hope you find the solution to this so we can all enjoy the purple color soon :)
