Bit of a naive question as I'm clueless about this. But are spacers safe to use etc? Was thinking about the idea but I read on a vw forum about a guys wheel coming off. Maybe just being over cautious. Cheers

Well I've never come across any threads with wheels coming off.
As far as I know if they're good quality, with proper, longer bolts then they're safe. If you buy some cheap **** they could crush from what I've read. Other than that I know wheel bearings can wear a bit faster but what is a bit? 10yrs?5yrs? Dont know but thats not something you replace often. Car looks much better thats what I was guided by, but be careful as I've put 13mm in the front and I think any wider could cause some rubbing, unless thats just coz car is slightly lowered.

Also, there's 2 types of spacers, those that you bolt to the wheel hub and then bolt the wheel to the spacer, these are the thicker spacers

And the smaller ones, where you put it all together with just one longer bolt which seems safer to me, but am not a mechanic just saying what I have been reading and what I think :) important to check them after a few miles to see if all good.

And considering the number of major custom companies that make them I am sure they are safe, and there are lots of people on here who have them with no issues. check out this document might give you a bit more info if interested.

Found my jacking pad for the Cupra fitted perfect on the front sill jacking points, but as the rears are a bit wider the pad would not sit on them. With the use of a hacksaw and chisel I made one for the rears from one of my ice hockey pucks, and it fits perfect.

Proper link?

The link for the boot struts is taking me to a product that is showing up as only compatible with skodas. Is that correct or am I being redirected somehow to the wrong product.

Skoda, Seat, VW and Audi all share parts so yes, that's correct. They're all part of the VAG group(how you pronounce that is entirely up to you)

The link in question is sold out. Anyone got another link? So many different ones I'm a little unsure which ones are suitable.
