What should your requested boost be group 118 under the actual mbar it goes from 1000 which I believe is normal air pressure 1bar and peaks at 2310 which is 1.31 bar then tails off or am I reading it wrong group 115 shows variations, so no leaks is the car mapped at all what mods do you have

Bump for some help.......

tired actuator....
tired turbo....
combined with asking for too much all can contribute to it not reaching its actual request

were these blocks logged at same time..

I would usually look at 003,115,118 if looking to see if turbos N75% is maxed or not

some CF intervention on 003,020,115 will show if timing pull is influencing the LDR under knock map... it will turn down its load when it hears continuous knock

Hi all thank you for your help!!!!

all the logs there were run at the same time

I disconnected the n75 and car ran at the same....it held at 8psi throughout the revs and held there without any fluctuations

turbo was replaced last september with a reconditioned unit.

was also advised to remove the hose to actuator from n75 and drive for a little as a test. It didnt really make much difference to be honest. Car still peaked behaved the same.

any ides what I should do next??

I have oredered a new n75 and will stick that on when I get it. Mine is old so probably worth a change even if itdoesnt cure the problem.

Please advise on what to to next.

and once again thank you for your help!!!!!

Are you getting any error codes? Is the boost dumping (leaking through the DV, you might hear it)? To me that doesn't look like a leak, you would never hit the request if there was a hole somewhere. I like Bills weak actuator theory. As he suggests I would be looking at the N75 channels.

Remind me someone what does 100% on the N75 mean does that mean its trying to open the actuator as hard as it can or does it mean its trying to keep it closed?

Thank you for your help guys.

I originally started with a whistle aeound a month or so ago and boost was down. I located a whole in one of my intercooler pipes which i though was the problem. I replaced all of the intercooler pipes as a result of this. It then still did not feel right. I prsssure tested the system and found a leak of one of the couplers which is now fixed. There are no leaks now at all.

It still does not boost how it used to. The intial kick I used to get has now turned into a smooth long winded process. Like I said no more kick.

I though a weak acruator would have showed up when I disconnected the n75 however it held 8psi nicely???....is this right?

How to I log the n75 duty?? Im not too clued up with logging and dont really understand the data

There are no fault codes at all. I can hear a faint noise that sounds like air leaking through the dump valve however I have replaced the dump valve for a new one. If the n75 was letting air through ibto the intake would I get this same noise?

So n75 off it boosts too and holds 8psi, that's sounds about half a bar which is right, and 100% no leaks under a pressure tests! what did u use to test it and what readings did you get, if it's 100% airtight from turbo through inter cooler all the manifold the pcv system everything is good I can only think of 2 things, The turbo is shagged or the ecu is for some reason backing it all off, does it pop and bang at all, any smoke or funny smells or is it just no boost, how does it drive normally when ur not trying to boost it

I have deleted the pcv and have it vented to atmosphere. Pressure tested it will a home made boost leak tester and my air compressor. Inly air I could hear escaping was through the oil cap and the pcv delete pipe.

drives normal with no boost no hickups or anything.

diesnt pop or bang.....however when tapping thr throttle the exhaust burbles. I have a decat so expect this

let me get this right..
you disconnected the pipe to the actuator and it drove the same????

in that condition is would be uncontrolled boost.. and other than the expected engine carnage from such an event it would normally boost >30psi on spool like this.

what did it boost to like this?

Hi bill

yes it drove exactly the same. I was told to go very very carefully because of what you have just said.....but it drove exactly the same. Boost would only reach 20psi on my gauge and that was it

I honestly think the same.

im not too bothered if it is the turbo thats broken as I have a warrenty on it that doesnt run out till September.

Just wanted to go through every over possibility before I took the turbo off

Think I might have a bit of a break through here!?!?!

So as you know I fitted a brand new oem dump valve 710n edition. I noticed a slight "hoot" noise when driving under part throttle.

So I fitted my old dump valve, also a oem 710n and not to my surprise it was exactly the same. I had thoughts that this valve was failing anyway which is why I changed it. So I thought I would give it a try with the valve backwards (charge pipe connected to the bottom of the valve) and it is alot better!! Boost it kicking in a bit sooner and I am now holding a solid 20 psi when it eventually gets there. I am still not getting the I tial kick that I used to but as I said it is a bit better. I have now ordered a forge 008 and it will be here tomorrow.

I will update this once I have fitted the forge to let you guys know.

I am pretty sure that I received a dud dump valve when I bought it so hopefully I will be able to uodate this with good news!!!!

Also...received my new n75 valve today revision E (car currently has a F on it) but I have not fitted it yet....want to wait until I fit the forge cause I am pretty sure this will sort it....

wish me luck!!!!!
