Yeah i'm still undecided on the total plans of what im going to do. I doubt the car will get garaged but an engine will be built for it. Not sure on specs or anything yet as its a while away.
Does the S3 crank fit then? Whats the benefits?
Yeah your best to build it all up then fit it. Which you probably plan on doing anyway.

Need pistons etc to suit but should all be cool
Long way off being finished or started haha but in no rush
Whip the sump and head off tonight
Started by turning the block upside down to drain some oil
Sump off and started striping the pick up off
Back up the right way spilling more oil and coolant
Plugs out
Seem to of served Berg well
Head bolts out with old wheel dealer carboard trick haha
Head off
The oil pump, is it a case of undoing the 10mm bolts holding it down and wiggling it off the chain?

have you started to clean those pistons if not i would probably look into why the last piston has more carbon deposits than the rest just in case it is something sinister.
Its crap that all fell through from removing the plugs. Didnt have my air blower for my compressor so couldnt blow it out so fingers crossed its that
Only reusing the block anyway.

Once my wheels are back i need to pull my finger out and get it looking top notch again as ive not really look after it lol
Looking good mate, plugs were only 2 months old done less than 1k probably,may aswell get some use out of them

Checked over head tonight and all seemed good
Will clean up nicely i reckon
Head gasket seem ok too
Put me head stands together and drop the head on
Need to decide on Large Port Head or porting the Small port?? Ideas anyone?

Next dropped the rods and pistons out.
Next is to take the crank out and oil squirters out then strip down to just a bare block.
