Chap blamed the design of the window & gave me my money back lol

Would that be a bam crank or q forged crank outa another 1.8t.

Or are you going all out and fitting a 2.0l tfsi crank to make a stroker engine?

The only bit of wear ive found so far was the relay roller on the hyrdaulic damper had bit of play and the drive belt tensioner had play in the rollers bearing too.

Lots of stuff thst needs labeling

Gunna take coiles and rocker off tonight. Will probs also test fit the Relentless manifold.

What kind of spec are you building the engine to mate? My plan is to garage it and build and engine this winter.

I was only going 1.9 with some 83mm pistons but this 2.0TSFI crank out of a 2012 S3 came up from a mate that i couldnt refuse haha. Havent deicded on engine spec 100% tbh once my Ring trip and my holiday is out the way ill set my wish list in stone.

What you planning? I brought and a spare engine rather than taking mine off the road so i didnt get bored and break the car half way through the build.

Test fitted the Relentless manifold tonight. My god theres one nut that looks impossible to get on the stud let alone do it up. Lol

As you can see the first exhaust tube on the left i hiding the top nut nicely and you cnt see it from above because of the head.

Nice work bud. Have fun with that manifold nut, I tied it onto a piece of fishing wire and just had to wiggle it til it went on properly, then just cut the wire and let it melt away. Fiddly job.
