What did you and your MK2 do today?

I haven't touch my engine but if I was to get a clutch upgrade, what would it do? Just curious

Personally I wouldn't bother with a standard engine as you won't really see the benefit. Only changing mine because its slipping with the torque at stage 2+.

As for what it would do the clamping forces a far greater over standard so basically you get more grip on the flywheel as the engine spins up.

i'm going to remove my droplinks and secure the roll bar then go for a drive just to rule them out

Currently waiting for my new arb bushes as i had the car up on ramps today and everything was gone over , the only thing with play was them so ive had to order new ones from neuspeed , 2 week wait
Also went stealers today and order new top mounts and rear drop links to try and cure my squeaky backend and ready to fit my sportlines , but want to get this knocking cured first . Just a quick pic of what was sitting in my seat dealers car park today . It was brand new still with the wheel protectors on

Done my 1st trackday today. Actually a session but it was amazing fun and im planning my next 1.

I learnt a few things, the lcr is very capable without any chassis mods. Goodyear assmetric 2s are brilliant tyres, despite the damp track. lydden hill circuit is pretty lawless! One guy got black flagged 4 times in a mk1 lcr but didnt go in, despite going in the gravel on the same corner 5 times in a row! The drivers briefing was a sheet of paper with rules on but there was no pressure to take it or even read it. Quite worrying really!

I fitted a neuspeed p-flo to my cupra this morning. Removing that engine cover is a ******* eh! Worth it for the new noises my cars making though Time will tell if it gets irritating or not. The sooking noise under light throttle is quite loud.

i've been thinking about getting rid of the Leon and getting something with more power as standard i.e VXR8 6.2V8 lol. i've turned down parts from people and offers on bits and bobs, but the more i drive the Leon and the more i test other cars, i like it too much! i just want it to be quicker! its Revo stage 1 with P-flow atm and goes really well, but i want more and advantage again with the leon is its unexpected! can boost around like a looney and then blend into the background as the only visual mods ive done is lower 35mm and tint the windows.

HPFP (APR - assuming it will run ok with Revo maps)
Twintercooler (for appearence) or S3 cooler?

and De-cat, i dont like the idea of an ebay 150quid special so looking at a blueflame or APR again, but sticking with oem middle and rear.

all that equals a near on £2k mind! on an FR or towards a new motor :/

its only a weekend car as it is, as i walk to and from work and the other half has a Mini if i want something good on fuel. ideally, id much like an excess of 300hp!

Whilst this is an option i have an 07 plate with 20k on the clocks in immaculate condition that i dearly love. If i was to get another car it would have to be a different car.it
