Yeh you can easily make grills to fit the cut out, i cant be assed but if come resale time i need to, then i will. As i said the fogs can never go back on the car now so they went on Ebay. I do have the option of the mini fogs, but in all my years driving i NEVER really used fogs....waste of time.

Anyway, good news, my rods are 1 week away. Cheers Alex.

Sorry mate, I don't mean to fill your thread with stuff you're not bothered about, just trying to help others out.

Good news on the rods, I'm going to be ordering some for mine in a week or two :)

I've thought of copying your grill but there is a curve oo the grill where the fog light fits. How easy would it be to replicate?
Dolby any word on your rod kit yet? Edit just re read your post! Bet you can't wait

It may be a pain but where theres a will theres a way ;) drka-drka is doing the fog grill mod on his, drop him a PM and ask how he's getting on.

Dolby,
Don't let supply issues spoil your enjoyment of the car. Cancel the order and get some rifle drilled rods from Bill or IE direct and move on. I'm looking forward to the results :funk:.

Lol me too!!!
Thing is I don't wanna let Alex down as he has done most of the work on my car. My car is still driveable but boy, is it holding back! Can actually 'feel' the car jolting at a certain rpm range. I take it the boost 5 has hit its limit?

Don't get me wrong the car is faster than my stage 1 ATM and the car clearly lifts under power but the jolting cuts this power by 25% or something, and no it's not the ESP intervening. I can just tell this car is gonna be rapid with the rods and manifold.

As a comparison, the manifold took 4 days from the USA and I must of been waiting 2.5- 3 months?

Mine are on order with INA too mate, I was told they should be in stock soon? just have to wait and see, manifolds sitting there waiting to be fitted. I'm sure once it's all fitted it'll be worth the wait.

By boost 5 do you mean thats the revo setting? could it be the timing thats holding it back?

I'd get the car logged and whatever is causing the jolt fixed before any further mods, or you risk making the problem worse. Log blocks 002, 020 and 115 for a start, then blocks 001, 031 and 118. Those should give a good picture of whats' going on.

Cheers chaps,
Yeh boost is on 5 and timing 6. Boost originally on 9, then we put it to 6. At 6 it was STILL peaking at 1.8-1.9 bar!!!!!!
Literally the boost set at 5 was only a short term thing. As in 2-3 weeks max, but they (INA) seem to be dragging this out big time. Maybe they are making them from scratch lol.

Yes there's a definate 'holding back jolt' kind of along the same lines of hitting the 'max speed' in a HGV that is limited to 58 mph for example. In a HGV it cuts everything and if you are not aware it shocks the hell out of you lol.

I have no way of logging, everything still seems fine. Car is rapid but is definitely holding back. It NEEDS to hold back to save my rods ;)
