Ahhh pretty nice design then, I haven't seen any like that ! If you blocked the hole at the top it would be even better I guess.

Well it wasn't today, but on friday I had the new APR stage 2+ software for the TSI and it is crazy now, 1st, 2nd and half of 3rd are pretty much useless due to wheelspin but when it grips it doesn't half shift! A nightmare in the wet though
Refitted the anti-roll bar and activated the strongest XDS and brake assist settings again ( put everything to standard while it went into Seat ) and it sticks to the road like glue.I was pushing very very hard and it wasn't letting go. The balance is perfect and very predictable, its neutral to oversteery and zero understeer.
If you haven't changed the XDS to the strongest setting in vagcom yet, then do it! (FL only)
On FR's and Cupra' it is set to 0, but on Scirocco R's and ED35's it is set to Strong, so that tells you something about it

Decided to take a look at my farting speaker in the front passenger , took the cover off to find these
The speaker fell straight out , some how the speaker adaptor was broke . Taking the speaker out to find the door has been sound proofed
Not heard much about these speakers and will read up on them but now they are mounted back properly they sound great . So all in all a good day and never cost me a penny !!!

Are you sure its only cupra and FR? Is the xds the electronic diff? I think mine has it (sport) not sure tho... *off to check the brochure*
Yep other models have it aswell but I just know they are set at 0 for FR and cupra. There is a "weak" option, so it may well be that as it can only be for less powered models!
On tight bends now you can really feel it working. It breaks the inside wheel and pulls you around, its quite a weird feeling, but it certainly allows you to corner much fasters, along with putting more power down coming out of the bend

Out of interest, can you change the steering weight? I had the car electrics go all funny 2 weeks back, and the steering hasn't felt right since.
Also on the steering, can you 're-calibrate' it? My car pulls slightly to the left, and the dealership said it's because of the electronic steering, and continually adjusting it back straight should 'teach' the electronic steering.

There is an option to adjust the DSR ( I think its that) which is the dynamic steering resistance or something along the lines of that. Standard it is set to Normal, but there is an option of weak or strong. I set mine to strong and I havn't noticed a difference so I will change it back to stock because I don't know what it is doing
On the pre FL you can actually change the weight, buy choosing a number from 1- heavy to 10- light.
There is no option to reset it, it sounds like your alignment is out if it pulls to one side
Or your front tyres dont have the same amount of wear ( Different circumference) . Which is why you should always change tyres in pairs Deleted member 74601

With regards to tyres.
I had all 4 tyres changed at the same time when I bought the car, and had a 4 wheel alignment done after it on a hunter machine. It was in spec according to that.
The technician also mentioned something about camber of the tyres. Being a German car the camber is setup to pull slightly to the left as they drive on the right hand side of the road. I.E Using tyre camber to counteract the camber of the road. He said it's quite possible they don't bother changing it when they sell them in the UK.
He said the only way to correct it is by doing a trick by sort of shimmying the chassis to adjust for it (which I remember someone posting about on here) but I haven't got around to getting that looked at yet.
Not sure about the electronic steering though as I've been jerking the wheel to correct it when needed and it hasn't been learning jack ****.

Typical dealership bullshit talk. Some of the **** they come out with is quite laughable
Not really sure then, I havn't heard of the issue before and I know mine is dead straight, if I let go of the wheel it will stay true without input.
How long ago did you have it done? It only takes one pothole to knock it back out again, but failing that you will have to take off the steering wheel and bolt it back on a little bit to the right providing there are no locating pins
