there have not been any reported v2 manifolds crack with the reinforced welds. also many many v2 have sold and only a small number of them have had issues, dont ever hear from the people who dont have issues :)

Are you running the new V2? Also am I right in saying you get warranty with the new V2?

Cheers

tiny update.
as some of you know i have been in hospital, im happy to say im home and well now, woop woop. during my stay i decided to buy a new n75 valve, i have always had a very spikey valve, hence the reason we fitted the mbc. anyway new n75 valve fitted and my god what a difference. i can now drive around town without my car wanting to race every time i just touch the accelerator. smoothness is back :) fuel consumption is much better, there is a down side tho, my torque has lost 30ftlb on the liquid gauge, but i may remove the mbc and have full boost back(still capped at 1.3 bar). top end and mid range feel very good.

i have also been running on actuator pressure, this is very nice. still making good figures on the liquid gauge, 247bhp and 210ftlb from 6psi :) so now im fitting a switch to switch from full boost to actuator pressure on demand.

i bought a very basic switch as i think its probably the only one that will look half decent.

probably fit this next weekend. also niki from R - T E C H has offered to add launch control to my car for free, cant turn that down.
thats all for now

Haha bret :) im not that worried. Wish there was a more oem looking switch but nothing, searched all over the internet and this was probably the best looking one. Atleast it has a red led to tell me if boost is on or off.

Maybe you could get another ESP switch, take off the ESP lettering, and then add your own picture or letters, either by paint or a sticker?!

Just a thought. :D

Looked into this and the standard switch would need some sort of circuit inorder to work. They are not a simple push on push off switch :(

Sounds as if the car is really moving forward Sam now that the engine has bedded in succeswsfully. I know what you mean about the switch selection; really not a lot out there is there. Seems that your choice is a nice discrete one, which doesn't look out of place IMO. Functional too.

Launch control sounds fun. I assume the map would automatically register when launch control is required, rather than having to dial it in by switch before moving off from a standing start? I look forward to hearing how you find this upgrade.

Nice to hear that all is well again Sam :)

hi james, and thanks. cant believe how fussy im being about a switch, but as many of you know things like this bug me lol
i dont understand how the launch control works exactly. it will take to my current map. its not a switch able thing, you have it or you dont. wont be able to rev past 3k out of gear. as i understand it will feed the power in to aid wheel spinning. i look forward to it :)

Ah, very clever... For my front Air Lift system, I tried to convert a LCR window switch, even trying to add a relay for it to work properly. Spent ages over it, knowing that it wouldn't be strong enough to carry any significant AMPS, but it would have been really nice to maintain that OEM look, on dimmer lights and all. It's the little touches that makes all the difference, so I feel your frustration... Good second place choice though, definitely :)

Class car mate.

Can i ask, how are you going to wire the switch in to turn the n75 on/off?

Hello mate!

I was searching google to see exactly how much smaller the 3/4 Fancy plate is c/w OEM and it came up with your thread... it is a fair bit smaller!

Have you still got it on the car or have you got rid? Any trouble with the cops? It's for my Mk2 Leon FR. Thought when I'm vinyl'ing the front I'd may as well stick a smaller plate on.

I was also sure they used to allow you to define the height of the characters on a std UK sized plate (then I would cut it to size to suit) but that facility doesn't seem to exist any more :(

i recently fitted a new n75 valve that has improved my car massively, killed the nasty spike and it drivable around town :) i have lost 30ftlb on the liquid gauge but top end feels sooooo much better.

i have also been working with relentless to produce a k04 hybrid, we have pretty much finished the first one so im waiting for it to arrive and start testing it :) i really cant wait. few pics

i have also treated myself to some rather expensive bling :)

on the down side my egt sensor has completely died, 1100c on idle yikes, i have a new one to be fitted along with the hybrid

thats all for now
