Looks amazing Sam. Well done mate! Didn't think this car could get any better from the first time I seen it but boy I was wrong! Gets better by the week. Give me a bell later if you want to meet up for a chat :)

Sam, your updates are rocking as ever, some advise though, lose the large bar and plate type coolers, the amount you go through just get a higher flow fin/tube type, Forge big race rings a bell, I speaking from expierence and drop the piston type DV's, there super slow and need maintence, don't wanna be a downer on your updates(I read all of them as they come in), love them, just wanna see u in the right direction.

you say this... BUT

Same cooler is working on several BT cars >400bhp, and works very very well in both p-drop terms and temps...

.5psi !!. If you are happy with it then good ;), just make sure you pipe work is spot on, Welly hard piped his iirc.

Also the piston DV from forge i have lost all faith in, their slow need to be serviced.

Here are tests a car mag did on DV recovery, the lower the number the better the DV, Forge did not fair well.

"The following is a test on reaction time that a car mag did on various dv on the market.
What you are looking at is after the release, when the driver heads back to WOT, how quick the valve recovers. All tests were run at 9 psi.

At the first point of 100% throttle:
DSM 1G/evo DV = 2 psi
DSM 1G/evo DV/crushed = 1 psi
DSM 2G DV plastic = 3.5 psi
WRX DV = 3 psi
FD3S DV = 4.5 psi
R32 GTR DV = 3 psi
Bosch DV = 3 psi
A'pexi twin chamber BOV = 4 psi
Bailey DV = 4 psi
Blitz super sound BOV = 2 psi
HKS SSQV BOV = 3.5 psi
Stratmosphere hyperboost adjustable DV = 4.5 psi
Vortech race BOV = 3 psi
Forge piston ram BOV = 5.5 psi
Forge piston ram DV = 4 psi
Greddy type S DV = 2 psi
Greddy type R DV = 3 psi "

what is the psi related to?
9psi boost and the pressures are what?

will give you a call tomorrow m8 :)

Engine Bay looks wicked bro, keep up the good work!!

thanks petey, im loving it :)

New intercooler looks spot on behind the bumper mate  I like how it fills the full gap. Out of interest how much was it ;)

rich it was £80 and its the best £80 i have spent on the car if i am honest, you will see why in my next post. the down side of it is the fitting, not so straight forward as the tx and apexi but its worth it.

Your engine bay looks absolutely incredible Sam, really does. I've recently bought an ECS CF engine cover, but haven't fitted it yet. Definitely the right choice :D

I bought an 80 pound intercooler, which looks about the same size, and i've had it fitted for a couple of years. Really does perform well. You must be chuffed...

Was considering taking the Apexi off your hands but think I may go for a toyosport one  selling the TX well cover the cost. Have you got any pics of it fitted with the bumper off?

That intercooler looks amazing! :) just a quick one Sam, I seem to remember way back in your thread you mentioned something about getting smaller fogs to compensate for the extra pipework of the intercooler (think it was the tx at the time). Was just hoping you can remember where you got them from and what the item description might have been? Greatly appreciated dude! :)
