what would you consider good timing advance or acceptable timing advance for a hybrid or any other tuned car without wmi, provided the cf's aren't excessive. I think i recall seeing 15's on mine at the red line.
Bill are you saying that its noisier becuase of the pistons, or its noisier becuase it has been rebuilt.
I find it very hard to believe that the pistons alone are playing havoc with the knock sensors.. after all the standard items are forged..
We found out that cylinder 1 & 2's knock sensor was actually in the wrong boss and torqued incorrectly with paint on the boss face, but Joe sorted this out and still it made hardly any difference.
Joe do you know if all the tollerences were checked when it got rebuilt?
Yer cam to cam timing was all spot on.
The only thing I can think is one knock sensor had brown plug the other black maybe new ones would fix this.
My only worry is if I ever go bt I will have issue with making crap power

cheers bill makes me feel a bit better as that ones making less g/s but as i cant see 17 around 6kish high timing. mines like 4 lol
