Well after a lot of sweat and well actually no tears and no blood which makes a change i have done it all (except the rear brakes and front braided hoses as they didn't turn up) i fitted a new set of LCR rear discs which i had as i needed to fit the calipers anyway. The rear beam went better than i thought, the bushes where plastic lined so i just cut through them and knocked them out with a hammer, the Polly bushes where a bit of a challenge so i made a tool using a couple of "G" clamps and some bits of wood to press them in as far as i could then used the washers and bolts from the rear coils to get them all the way in, i then washed the beam down and painted it with smooth rite. looked as good as new until i had to drag it back under the car to put it back on LOL, then bolted the calipers back on put the brake lines on and then started on the front. I removed the wishbones, drained the power steering oil then dropped the subframe, swapping the rack's over was really easy, replaced the arb bushes and the rack bush for polly ones, put the 034 motor sport solid subframe bushes in and bolted it all back together again added the new Polly bushed wishbones, so the car is now fully Polly bushed, i have bought the subframe aligning tool so as soon as it arrives i will make sure its all lines back up 100% its not to far off and feels great. i also fitted the badger5 front discs and Yellow stuff pads all round (well what else could i have used) and all i can say is wow i cant wait to get the 307mm discs on the back, oh yeah i also fitted and leveled the weitec hicon coilovers which i cant fault at the moment. sorry for the lack of pics but i was pressed for time and on my own, but i managed to get a few. I have also managed to do a bit more to the bay as you can see in the pic. My turbo smart boost controller turned up today so i have that to look forward to to fitting.

The bushed front, you can just see the steering rack bush.

Coilies seem more forgiving over bumps than the spring/damper set up, not sure on the track day i need to do my engine soon as its burning oil from the valve stem seals/guides, i have my eye on a BAM engine with suspected bottom end damage @:£200 so hopfully will rebuild that and do a transplant (then the LCR transformation will be complete LOL) i am also looking at a AUQ engine with siezed top end which is at £50 at the mo.

Nice, would quiet like to see engine being stripped and rebuilt mainly to understand how
Have to do the wishbone swap again but better weather though
I have also heard poly rear beam bushes can be belted in with a mallet?

Yeah alot better weather. Not sure if you can use the mallet method as the bush is bigger than the hole in the beam and you have to slowly push it in. (oo err) i hope i ge tthe engine (BAM) as it will save me getting the 20mm wristpin ones as it will have them already (as long as they are ok) i am looking at the stroker kit from INA, so it would be 2008cc, more bottom end torque and faster spool.

You do know there is a mahle factory in worcester, not sure if they make the pistons on that site though
I thought the stroker kits were 2.1 or are there different versions
Also who did you send your turbo to and roughly how much to rebuild as i will have to send this garrett away soon

I sent it to CR Turbo's it was £550 but i had it hybridised (sp) . I think 2.08 is 2.1 not sure though.

Cracking work :thumbs up: cars looking mint.:D

How long until your rear discs arrive Phil? Will be good to see them under a proper sized set of alloys, I managed to squeeze them under the stock Cupra 16s, talk about tight! :D

Well the discs have arrived and fitted , very happy with them the braking is excellent. I have a question for anyone who has the 330 front discs and Polly bushes; did you have any problems with the ESP? mine now comes on if i think about going around a corner?? i have to switch if off all the time now , never had a problem with it doing this before, its nothing to do with the rear discs as it was doing it before i fitted them

Dont you remember me having this problem?
Noone has ever been able to shed any light on it either, mine was better after poly bushes and coilovers were fitted, but plays up the most on long sweeping bends

I did remember you saying something about it but thought it went away, because i did the Polly bushes, collies and the discs together i dont know what caused it, even the smallest bend brings in on so i switch it off now, but the handling is brilliant
