flip key info thread

You open the car and put your spare in the ignition and turn till the dash comes on (not start), then close the door and with the new key turn to the lock position and hold, then press and hold the lock button on the remote, it should chirp and then should work.

I havent seen my flip key mentioned on here, does anybody know it'll def work before I get it cut?

My model number is:

1J0 959 753 DJ

Sure the internals match up to the part number, as that's a common part number for new shells off eBay, internals may have been swapped over

Damnit, should of taken it apart before i had it cut. Turns out my gf bought one without the circuit board :(

Please help.....
i currently have a flip key - HLO 1JO 959 753 CT which i coded, no problem.

I just got another flip key - 50W 1KO 959 753 N. i cant get it coded!!! why? its both 434 mhz keys...

Does the 1KO need to be 1JO?

Please help!

Yip, the 1K0 are for the new immobilizers like for the MK5 golf etc, you'd need a 1J0, I believe the immobiliser chip and remotes are different.

Coded in a MK5 golf key this past weekend, and needed the newer CAN-Bus immobiliser chips.
