Yeah, they really do match the facelift bumpers nicely. If only they did one for the centre grille. Got them for £25 delivered from german ebay, bit pricey for a bit of plastic but a must have for somebody who's got the old style grilles

Thanks btw, much appreciated :D I love it too, just wish it had a bit more poke. Currently thinking about a K&N induction kit at the mo

Are the fog light surround grills on yours the standard facelift or the Fr style ones because i didnt get them with my bumper so i have two big holes on it at the moment but was considering just buying normal facelift ones as they are £5.50 each instead of £18.50 and i think they are still honeycomb, just smaller gaps to the FR?

Thanks

My bumper was from the 'sport' model matey, which i believe has the standard facelift grilles. The Cupra fog section (and possibly FR) are solid plastic and don't have the honeycomb design

If the FR fog design has the honeycombs they will be slightly larger combs, hardly noticeable though

Heh, well i did a bit of research for you bud before and there are 3 facelift style fog covers:

Standard Facelift: Honeycomb (like mine)

FR Facelift: Bigger honeycombs

Cupra: Solid plastic

Personally I think the first 2 look better myself. There's not a big difference between the first 2 tbh after looking at the pictures, unless you're getting FR centre grilles it's hardly worth the extra

I have a pic of how it is atm (before i put it on the car) and it already has the middle grill but i'm not sure what it is as the ebay auction said it was off an FR but the bit by the number plate is red not grey? Could you tell from this if they're standard or Fr? Thanks :)

Yeah, the standard facelift doesn't have a black number plate surround whereas the FR and Cupras do. The centre grilles are definitely the standard facelift ones

Cheers matey :D

I got it from eBay a couple of years ago, had a game getting a match for the colour (even getting it made up didn't match perfect) but managed to find a place this year which could match it very closely so after finally managed to get it fitted heh, best mod I've done. The bumper cost £100 delivered and to get it painted was £100, not massively cheap but well worth the cost.

I know these are rare on eBay now but keep an eye on the for sale section on here, they do pop up every once in a while

what can i say :D

Heh legend :) gutted you're looking to replace your car buddy btw, just hope if the new ones not a SEAT you'll still post on here heh

Ah that's good mate, nice to know you're not changing from a MK4. I can't say i blame you matey, I think I'll go TDI next, possibly an FR too heh. Yeah I know what you mean, i was ready to buy an FR then i got made redundant so I won't be replacing mine for quite a while now sadly. The Fabias are nice but I do think the MK4 is a lot nicer looking bud
