because its not british standard font, also no place where they got made with postcode (i.e. the seatcupra.net) thats personal not place that made them. also no british standards agency logo in the corner

Wow, you know your stuff mate. Would that mean any bog standard German style ones be illegal? I've seen a lot of cars with that style, in fact where I work a lot of people (namely chavs) have different fonts and logos and I've never seen anybody get pulled before
I am dubious to fit the plates now though, i'm guessing you can be fined for it

Depends who stops you. You may get a fine/points or just a warning. I love German plates, but also love not being pulled over by the rozzers.

Heh thats scary stuff, gutting. I always thought german style were legal (as i've seen a lot) but i stand corrected
I am going to risk it for now (knowing that info now I know some of my neighbours have illegal plates) but if i do get fined or a warning I will sadly have to take them off

Had them on my old Octavia, I think they look great with a side badge and never got any bother whatsoever off the Gendarmes (or rozzers for those that have no idea what I'm on about).

So far so good with the plates, had them over a week and no problems, even passed around 10 police cars too, I don't think they're so bothered about it in the midlands which is funky

I'm gutted, I was down the builders yard the other day in the storage area, had a chance of getting some really great pics but because I wasn't in a good mood so I didn't. Oh well. Plenty more opportunities with the sun out lately

Cheers fella, it'll never live up to yours though i am trying to do as less modification as I can as I eventually want to move on to a TDi but theres always temptation around the corner heh, still got a few mods planned though:

Get some foglights
