think on the radio surround part and on the vent rings would look good, however the vent rings may be difficult! how much did this stuff cost you?

thats an idea, didnt think of them, hmm al see how much i have left, its 3m di-noc so expensive, 30cmx1m for £15.99 from ebay

Sounds promising.. What are you thinking about doing matey?

you started off good but your mind aint open to how insurance vs cars work. for starters at 17 with little money as stated your going to be looking at a car no more than 75-80bhp max as insurance quotes will be very high. so look at a 1.2 ibiza if thats what your after. mines is 65bhp standard but ive added a panel filter and backbox, maybe talking 70bhp max, it has served me perfectly for my almost 3 years of driving but it hasnt been cheap getting it to this stage, all major mods must be declared to insurance otherwise if you have a bump or smash then the insurance will not pay out. you have to ensure you are covered.

1st year--i had my mum as the main driver and me as named to get a kick start, i believe we paid £1600 for insurance.

2nd year--me as main driver and mother named was around £1450 i think, mods declared (alloys and bumpers and tints etc) this got me 1 year NCB

3rd year insurance (current)--this is almost up in september as i will be going into my 4th year of insurance, i was £1200 roughly all mods declared up to date and this will be 2 years no claims bonus (touch wood) +3 points

4th year--20 years old now, done some quick quotes and roughly coming up at £700 mods decalred, although i done a quote last week with aviva and they quoted me £550 mods declared (will need to double check all details as i was shocked) +3 point still

every year i have been fully comp and wouldnt advise 3rd party to anyone!!

also as stated i have a TS10-failure to comply with traffic lights and got 3 points which you have to declare as its just another reason for insurance not to pay out.....

Hope this helps you, Welcome to the forum!!

p.s. keep an eagle eye open because i may be looking to sell it around may of 2011

Ohhhhh ;p

hmm i may be intrestedd tbff then cuz i shud have 1 years no claims there i think the best way is juust to build my noclaims and to stayaway from cops. like my other beetle i have is highley modified and all them mods are declaried but i can not drive it yet because im am still moding it but i just want an eco car with style to drive if you get me. i might be intrsted next year so i will keep my eye out. i just want something with the wow factor for look not speed and i would declaire all mods i have this lecture about my baja :) thank you mate

People seem to forget to mention that as well as insurance not paying out if you have a smash (then people always say oh I will take the mods off before they see- not if your car is ripped in two or you are in hospital you won't) then you will be reported to police for driving without insurance that will no doubt give you point and then if you are a new driver a ban I expect.

Serious point over take Scott's advice just be patient and wait a few years but you can still have fun doing little mods to the car I am 26 but was the same at 19 when I passed my test.

the carbon is real nice, but can be hard to mould but overall its easy enough, i got a few little creases around some edges but nothing i would class as bad, infact none can be seen unless you picky, as for bubble i think i evaded all bubbles, woo!! adds a nice touch of class to the bland interior. nice mod for like £16, i did try for a carbon flip key but that proved a little too difficult
