yup splits in the hose will cause boost issues big time.

LMAO I'm amazed at the speed of replies, I'm off to remove the DV now and check the piston, then check the N75 hose for splits.

I'd say your on the money with the valve being shot.

Surely the MAP sensor and N75 valve would bring up a code if they were faulty?

should do yes adam, but im not sure dans had it scanned? doesnt always bring a eml on with all faults

Yeah it's been scanned, no codes, just checked it, no splits in the pipe.

Just removed the DV and I pushed a pen the piston moves inwards abit

it will move up dan, did you put your finger over the piston when its pushed in then let the piston go?

Yeah I put my finger over the nipple and the piston returns to it's normal place.

sign of a knacked dv mate, the piston should hold up under vacuum

lol, it definitely didn't hold up mate, it was actually damn stiff and pushed itself back down

Well I've found two things to use to block the pipes, back in a min

try it if you want mate, not sure you need to now youve tested the dv

Interesting, well it definitely pulls harder, but the boost still drops back again, maybe the objects I used (coke bottles) were letting air out Or would the capacity of the bottles themselves cause boost loss even though they are enclosed?

Yeah I'd say bottles won't help lol

Well the DV piston didn't hold itself with the vacuum plugged so I presume it's new DV time and go from there

It actually went to 14psi this time and the feeling of having some power back was good lol
