I blocked mine off when I fitted my cooler to check for leaks...........sounds awesome don't it
The thing people say about the atmospheric DV's is the ECU is relying on a certain amount of air to be dumped back into the TIP and after a while if it doesn't see this it measures it as a boost leak?
I don't know how true this is and I can't actually see how it would know if it was dumpin air back or not?

Yeah I don't really understand how it works tbh, Stef Cupra is gonna email me a picture of his DV setup. People say twin piston is fine for MAF sensors but how can it be when the valve itself doesn't recirculate anything? You have to block the TIP DV hole off to use it

You would have to yes.
My friend who used to work for a local motorsport company can't see why we can't run a twin piston DV either.
Has to be twin piston to keep the sensors happy, will prob run to rich with a single piston and may stall.
The SSQV connects onto the charge pipe right? But if the TIP hole is blocked how does it keep the MAF sensor happy?
because its twin piston so it doesn't register as a leak like a single piston would when open?

Bad news guys, the new DV didn't cure it :| But I have found that the tube that leads to where the arrow is pointing above on the turbo seems secure but the clip around it has come off. Can that pipe leak even though it is over the nipple fully?
probably will leak mate, need a jubilee or similar on. if its not clamped to that nipple then airr can escape round the sides... even a cable tie would do it
