just had a quick search and found a forum apparantly from april 2010 it will be 455 a year.
i think evos are 2.0 and the golf you want is a 3.2 so i think the emissions will probally be more as the capacity is greater also 4x4 owners ie land rovers etc pay more for the car being a 4wd in tax.

£455? Hell! That's a lot!

Yep, all good pionts. But you loose a **** load of power throught the 4WD system.

And as Alex sait, TAX will be higher too.

They do sound awsome though :)

All I can say is:

Tall-Paul; hybrid Mk4 Ibiza Sport Diesel - sold - Replacement; Ford Focus ST
Sooty22; hybrid Mk4 Ibiza Sport Diesel - sold - Replacement; Celica VVTI 190

They love theirs and neither of them will be economic, especially Chris keeping the Celica on Cam!

Do you regret buying the LCR though? I'd keep the R32 standard for a while! I dont think you regret buying yours, yes I'd miss the ecomony but.....I'd do that with anything I think! Even the Mk2 Leon tdi's - the FR 170bhp diesels only get high 30's, 40 average tops! So......they arent all they're cracked up to be either! :(

I wouldn't go as far as saying i regret buying it, but i rarely use it as I get the train to work everyday. If i had to use it more often, then I possibly would. I love how the car looks, and if i get chance to play with it, then yea its good fun. but doing any distance travelling (ie to bristol or exeter) then it just gets depressing, as i was used to getting a good mpg from my a4, yet its a real struggle to get 30mpg. i go down to south molton and buckfastleigh every now and then, and the drive is very boring because i know i have to stick to 70 tops to avoid using too much fuel.

I used to drive into town every day and normally got 40mpg on the 4 mile trip, now the new job is at Taunton, it's 14 miles. When I first got the Ibiza though, I was doing a 500 mile round trip on a regular basis, maybe 6 times a year so really used the economy! But like I say now, I do 30 miles to the Mrs', 30 miles back, 14 miles to work and go out for the weekend. Nothing is REALLY long distance anymore!

True. Dont think Chris had the derv for the economy though (he does live in the VTEC now though ).

I dunno.....I dont know why he got the Ibiza tbh! But I'm postive that car is sub 6000rpm for pulling off from lights only! The rest of the time it's screaming I bet!

Keep the Ibiza, its looking good (saw you at J23 yesterday). Who are you working for now?

Start work for Toyota in Taunton on the 2nd January! You must've seen me coming home from Minehead I presume. Fuel light came on seconds after I saw you then!

Its funny because its true, last time i went out in that with him, he had great pleasure in showing me it could do 70mph in 2nd gear lmao and showing me its sideways capabilities haha

How he's alive I dont know! He took me over the back roads near his - we were doing triple figures on country lanes!!! All I kept thinking is "Please no tractor round this corner, please no tractor!"

But Jap is crap! Sounds like your mate drives his Skyline hard everywhere though! My sis can get 300 miles out of her Cooper S and that's had a few bits done to it, plus the supercharger is working all the time so you cant really keep it off boost!

i love your car though mate ont sell it:(

I love it too! But I may aswell get rid of it with sensible mileage on the clock so I get as much for it as possible. There's no point keeping it until it's at 100,000 + cos i know I certainly wouldnt buy a car with that higher mileage. It's got 52,000 now, by the end of next year it'll probably have 66-70,000 and that'll be when she goes I think. I've had it 3 years this month and there's only so much more I can do to it really!

Bigger and better things maybe?

Supercharged R32s sound awesome! Even standard they sound great. But the fuel costs and tax are silly high!

I will have had my Ibiza for 3 years this comming July and I think that'll be the right time for me to move on. This may sound a bit :gay: but your only young once so I'd say go for it mate

Charged 3.2, if you can afford it then do it! I know I would in a heart beat, as much as I enjoy the derv with it's 240bhp and 40mpg it's still limited in so many ways. No 8000rpm redline scream, no 4x4 to pull round those corners and no lovely 6 pot burble....mmmmm 6 cylinders...:funk:

Also if you go down the route of getting it standard to begin with and then modding later, the latest super charger kits are so bolt on and go you can do all the work yourself with the exception of the mapping and save a fortune on garage prices, not to mention the fun and satisfaction of having done it all yourself.

Fabia VRS' are good cars, as are the Leons, but I dont want something too similar to what I have now. I want a step up really....

Exactly! This is what I'm thinking. Basically I'm 21 and still living with my parents (for now) so I'm thinking the next car is going to be my last chance to have a properly fun car before I'll need to sell it to buy a house and settle down and boring things like that! So I'm thinking, just go for an R32, have fun! Then worry about houses and settling down in a few years time...

Go Fabia vRS!!

I had the same problem when I had to sell my Ibiza, gutted as I was, I now have a house and a smart car again! :)

Too similar to the Ibiza!! It IS an Ibiza, but not. I'd know that all the mods I did on the Ibiza I could put on the Fabia, it'd be nothing new and nothing exciting. :(

You're thinking the same as me! :D

That's what I mean, I wouldnt do all the work straight away, but even in the run up I'd still have loads of fun just hearing the V6!

Gonna have to think it over seriously and work out if the tax IS going to go up!

You only live once and as you say if your still living at home with no ridiculous mortgage, council tax, insurance, gas, electric, furniture costs etc etc etc... then now really is the time to have fun and enjoy yourself, R32 - VF Charger FTW!:clap::funk:

I'd quite fancy going down the facelifted TT 3.2 and charging that but alas I've already got all those bills so thats around £1000+ a month leaving my pocket before I even think about my car.
