Just uploading a few shiney pics..... haven't posted many pictures for a while so deemed it neccessary!
Mmmmmmm shiney...
Looks great
Only thing i'm not keen on are the blue brakes...
Nice and shiny - just cleaned mine, was filthy!
very shiny, I prefer the blue brakes myself
Look class that matey what discs have you got on there? They the 312 tt ones?
and i like the blue miles better than the red, looks mint
mate nearly bought a mk5 golf gti today
just waiting on the possible sale of mine
sorry to go off topic lol car is looking very sexy
looks lovely clean mate, really nice finish there
Don't know what those torque mount inserts are like, but I just fitted the Vibratechnics one to my car and there is a definite difference. Car vibrates a fair bit now when its at cold idle, also a bit of vibration pulling away, but besides that it feels like standard. Engine barely moves now, and gearchanges are alot smoother
I got mine 2nd hand off Gaz, but I certainly wouldn't pay the price for a new one. He got rid because the vibrations were unbearable, so I don't know how those ones in the earlier link stack up
i was looking at the Vibratechnics mount about a year ago, but after reading on Briskoda that alot of the Fabia VRs deisel owners were struggling to put up with the vibrations as that mount is more or less solid i decided against paying the ~£120 for one......
the Superpro one that i posted the link for gives an OEM feel after 50 miles or so, but restrains the engine from twisting acheiving the same results as the Vibratechnics mount....at a third of the price
its a mod i'd easily recommend as it makes for a much smotther driving experience
if you got a deisel, you'll want to order the "70 shure" mount (fast road)
if you got a petrol you could get away with an "80 shure" which is meant for track use, this on a deisel will be similar to the Vibratechnics mount, the guys at Awesome don't recommend this for a diesel.
yeah i fitted mine 4 weeks ago, don't notice any vibration, but do notice the smoother drive
yeah, from tyres off the ground to back down.....no more than an hour....that inclueded an oil and filter change
so long as you got a bench vice and a couple of steel plates or 25 / 30mm thick wood (ply, mdf) either side of the bush and dogbone to press the new bush in....or a G-clamp would be sufficient
