Well guys - today has been a busy day for me! It's taken from 11am - 7pm, but something that I (think) I wanted to do!

I used to have one of the Pioneer slim subs with box in my boot, but since I went hybrid it's come out. Cos everytime I booted it, with it being a slim sub and slim box, it fell over!

So I've made a false boot floor, with the sub sitting flush into it - i've got to devise something for when I want to put stuff in my boot, it doesnt squash the sub. But i'll worry about that at a later date.

The only thing was, I had to raise this new false floor 5 inches above the standard floor. Basically if you look in your Ibiza boots, it's now level with the two "dwellings" at the side of the boot - or it will be when it's fitted.

Pics for now, it look a bit crap in the pics tbh! But i'll get fitted pics sorted tomorrow, the building and trimming has all been done today, the amp is fitted under the board, just a case of wiring it all in tomorrow!

What do you reckon?

looks very nice mate, and a pretty cheap thing to do I'd imagine seen as you've done it yourself!

looks good mate. im tempted to do a false floor to house the amplifier out of sight in mine (and also to hide all the damn cabling as well)

Cheers Dave - well I think I'm going to have to sell it now as I fitted it, and it appears my amp is pooped. Checked all fuses etc etc but nothing!

And I cant afford a new amp so I think i'll try to get a few £££ for it! So if anyone wants my boot build, drop me a PM and make me a sensible offer. :)

looks even better now its in! [B)]

shame it won't fire up.......:(

Thanks fella! I really like the faux suede look too! But like i say, presume the amp must be gone. Cos the sub was brand new when I bought it, but the amp is old and crap anyway. Only paid £10 for it and it melted a fuse last year instead of blowing it! So it's got to be that. :(

sounds like the fuse that melted was to big for it so when that tryed to blow it couldnt and got hot. might sound stupid but have you checked your live wire fuse to see if thats why its not working?
i like that suede looks strokeable :cartman:.

Yeh I've checked them all. The one under the bonnet, the one's just behind the headunit, the ones in the car, checked all connectors. Dunno why cos it's nothing I could've done making the boot build. Just must've been time that killed it.

ICE isn't really my thing, but that looks nice and neat :)

Cheers fella! :)

Not much to update apart from it sailed through MOT, got new tax and insurance is coming next month! Nearly £700! But hey ho!

Bought some new alloy wheel cleaner, and something I've never bought before....SNOWFOAM! :D

Hoping to have a bit of fun with that - of course, pics will be uploaded when my car goes white.

what wheel cleaner did you get?
are you going to be using a wheel sealant after ive just taken delivery of some poor boys wheel sealant so i think im going to have my wheels off today and do that.
but i might get some wheel cleaner first rather than using car shampoo. so intrested in what wheel cleaner you got.

I bought this stuff:

http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/wheels-and-tyres/premium-blue-rim-wheel-cleaner/prod_190.html

I normally use this:

http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/wheels-and-tyres/meguiars-hot-rims-all-wheel-cleaner/prod_104.html

Which is very, very good stuff! Much better than the Autoglym equivalent. But the stuff I've bought now is cheaper and non acid based. So going to try that. :)

I'm unsure about those wheel sealants and stuff, I dont get how they work! Let me know the results!

i will do in about a week or so when the wheels get cleaned again if i use the sealant today that way i will know how much easyier they are to clean if atall any easyier.

You should clean all 4 wheels, the apply wheel sealant to one side (e.g passenger side wheels) and not apply any to the other side, then see if one gets dirtier quicker than the other! :) And if one side is easier to clean than the other.
