im still trying to get my head around it all Dave. i now have an oversized pump yet im lacking fuel and as you say it looks to be performing quite well. Fueling is still showing 25% and still no code???

do you think i need to buy a fuel pressure gauge to make sure its doing what its meant to be doing and there isnt a problem in between....

Have you tried calculating (checking) a/f from maf and injector duty cycle?

no not yet mate... ill need to look back over yours and my thread so i can remember all the figures/weights.

i was thinking about this earlier. wouldnt it be nice if we had a sticky with all this info in....

Theres an problem there somewhere.... i am concerned about that hose but i dont think it would be that bad.

Thats very kind of you to offer your injectors John, i may take you up on it (id cover all costs of course) but if they are wrong they will be going back (for the second time) and they will supply the correct ones. are you running Genesis injectors? if so, what colour are they? mine are beige.

EDIT: im tired and actually struggling with the calcs Dave... Ill keep trying but tomorrow may bring some inspiration.. Also John, your car is amazing, ive just been thinking about what youre flowing to max out 550s @4bar.. :clap:

no i didnt but it worked out well in the end... i didnt have my phone cable at home so couldnt upload the pics, i will later.

some of the maxing out of injectors is revs. New limit wil be 8k, and 550s are maxed beyond 7k on mine. Turbo is 52lb/min, and I intend to max it out.

if youre doing a rolling road day anytime soon let me know, it would be good to meet you and have a look at your car.

it looks like i have been given the wrong injectors.... im trying to get to the bottom of it, ill let you know how i get on.

Just looking at the maths......

Something's wrong.

In the 6000 - 6600 rev band - my injector timings with Genesis 550s are in the 14-13ms region - yours are in the 23-22ms region. This would be telling me you're injectors are waaay undersized.....

Thanks for doing some sums Dave :) i think they must be undersized.


I dont want to pull one to have a look but they should be Black... mine are cream. ive been trying to find out what size cream injectors are but i havent had much luck. this is so annoying as they got the injectors wrong the first time but i spotted it and they were replaced. i didnt check these ones but apparently they had 550cc genesis on the bag.

Thanks... the evidence is stacking up.... on the bright side, its and easy fix and explains everything.

550's are black. White/cream ones are less cc iirc.

when you put your faith with a tuner you expect their expertise to supply you with the correct parts... this is dangerous, i wonder how i would have stood if i were never to have done any logs, wound the boost up and tried to claim on their incompetence when things went bad. [:@]
