Danny's great at wiring

lol hence why ul be wiring these bad boys in at the weekend :D...

Afr is Simple enough todo just abit of head scratchin at the Colours lol as the instructions are utter crap...
I put them there as i didnt want them all on 1 side...as on the drivers piller il have boost, afr & EGT....

Seems certain sizes only fit in there as its 55mm deep and the gauges are 50mm...

I somehow knew you wanted them doing, al get them sorted for you ;)

Yeh wiring in the AFR gauge is simple really, the instructions weren't the best if im honest, they weren't too clear and they just kinda cut off part way through and left you to figure the rest out, but i managed to do it and im not amazingly good at wiring or anything, so someone who has half an idea should be alright with it

Righto...

Mot Is done so ive gotta sort the fans out then i can finaly do some miles on it..

If it was the Water Pump It would Overheat within a few Minutes Correct? But mines take 10-15mins to come to 90degress then its at 90 for 10mins at idle roughly then it start to go past 90Degrees...

So water is defo Getting pumped round correct? So it could be Either battery Fuse Holder,Theremstate Or Rad Switch?

We've cleared that the fans actually work by puttin 14v through them.Im Currently Running a ECS Uprated Thermastate (which Is Proberly Why it takes so long to warm Up) Correct?

Any Information or advice would be mucho greatfull People?

Thanks

I still think its the battery fuse holder mate, if you move the fuse in that side to side the fan will spin. That fuse box is corroded probably becuase its got no lid and its got wet numerous times!
Even if it was the thermostat you said you chucked the old one so we can't even swop it over again to rule it out, so your still going to have to buy one of them just to test it, or mess around trying to get whoever you bought the ECS thermostat off to swop it on the hope its that

Bar putting your fans on a manual switch as a bodge im out of ideas!

If you think of something else we can try, we can look at it properly tomorrow

Im in no way after bodgin it but its £50 for fuse holder and i need to defo find out if its that...

The van never stayed on though did it..it just span for a 1sec or so wen we put the fuse in...It never actually stayed on did it...

Fair enough 50% of the time when we put the fuse in it span like i said but somethimes it i didnt......

Odd to say the least....

bypass the fuse holder with a temporary fuse+holder ??- at least it's safe and testing it

would be an added benefit but probably find a lower temp switch aftermarket once i know the thread size and wiring connector, i get the local boys in all the time looking for a lower stat and fan switches oil pressure etc

gimme a couple of days next week i'll check it out for mine see how i get on

and give up drinking and smoking - get a lot more done quicker ;) lol

The thermostat will work on its own it won't need other ECS parts to work. Al phone you though, be easier :D

EDIT: Like we said on the phone we'll bypass the fuse box tomorrow so you know for sure. Text me tomorrow and let me know what time you want me to come down

best way to know the water pump is working is when the engine is cold to take off the coolant cap then the top hose that goes in the the coolant bottle hold it were the cap goes and rev the car at around 3500 rpm if coolant comes out of the hose like a mofo the water pump is working as it should be if there is no coolant or its very poor the water pump is gone

Ta mate

Surely if the water pump has gone it would go up to temp (90Degrees) very quickly?

Instead of it being 10-15mins? but thanks though il try that 2morro..

Just bought a compression tester too..

ahh but foresight for the next 17yrs can be a blessing :p but my recently passed uncle had it right on the button when he told me on my long ago 18th birthday:

'you know what m'boy if it has tits or tyres on it leave it the hell alone, it will be more hassle than it's worth and cost you more than it's worth too believe you me'

did you manage to sort the fan issue out yet? if not have you checked for voltage and continuity of the wiring to the fan switch. or resistance at the fan temp sensor.
